Friday Die Day

Hello friends
Today I thought I would inspire you with the new In'Spire dies.
Because I'm featuring two, technically it is Friday Die(s) Day!
I've chosen Celebration and Flower Power 2.
Starting with Celebration - there are 3 die templates in this set,
this is how they look cut/embossed.

I've chosen to place a ruler in this image so you get an idea of the size -
perfect for card sentiments.
And this is Flower Power 2, cut/embossed.
Happy flowers!
This week it is a tag!  I haven't made a tag for a while....
Using the 'Happy Birthday' die I placed it vertically on the right side of the tag.
Removable tape makes this a lot easier.
As opposed to using the die cut I wanted to create the 'negative'.

By placing a piece of coloured paper behind it instantly reveals the wording.
Lightly inked the edges of the tag.
I raided my scrap box for some more pretty colours, papers, ribbon and twine.
By applying one of the flowers from Flower Power 2 and some sparkly gems
I've got a tag that was very quick to make.
A close up shot at this angle...
And one at another angle!
Experiment with your dies, remember the negative can look just as effective
as the actual die cut.
space available if you fancy coming along.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
Take care friends.

Very effective Christine. Strange, I was thinking of making tags today when I was in bed, sad I know, but that is where I do alot of my thinking about craft !!!!!!

Hi Christine. Lovely ta., Thank you for using one of the flower dies as I wasn't sure about them. As soon as I see them being used I can see them totally differently (I have no imagination I'm afraid). I had never thought of using the negative, won't be able to say that now will I :) I love the look with some colour behind it. I hope you all have a great time at the Silver Clay Workshop tomorrow, and enjoy the rest of the weekend. Take care.

Hi Christine

Love the tag and especially the flower. It's quite different from the blooms you usually do, and I think I prefer this one. Have a good class tomorrow and hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Hi Christine, lovely tag, good idea to use the negative, makes you feel like you have something for free,as you still have the die cut to use!
Oh my I would give anything to be on that Silver Clay workshop, I am desperate to start using that particular medium, I even have some to use, but waiting until I know how to use it properly!
Please, do another one sometime soon so I can save up and join you!
Hugs
Sandra xx

Hello Christine. Lovely tag and what a great idea to back the negative space with such a lovely paper. I have left it blank before as a border of a card and that was also very effective. Hope tomorrow goes well. xxMargaretxx

I like what you have done with this tag Christine, and although the word dies are useful, I prefer it when they are all in the same font as I can use them more together. Have a good class tomorrow. Janice xx
