Beautiful Butterflies and a Tip!

Hello friends
Today I'm sharing with you a project I created for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L,
I've done a step by step tutorial on their blog if you fancy a visit...
The butterflies are made using the new 3D Foam Butterflies and I've
used gilding flakes in gold and silver - easy and fun to do.
This would work on any 3D foam shapes - imagine the possibilities!
Also included in my frame is Sprigs and Blooms Three.
The frame was a £1 shop purchase - always worth looking in those shops
for crafty bits and bobs.

Marg asked yesterday if I had any advice on how to stick down the
very fine die cuts, for example the sentiments.
Yes - I have a tip for you - in fact Fine Tip Glue Applicators -
these allow you to apply a 1/2 mm of your chosen adhesive - perfect for sticking
down letters, foliage and all things fiddly!

The applicators are empty for you to fill and PVA based glues are recommended -
I use Cosmic Shimmer
They come with a special treated pin to insert into the top that will not rust and
a handy hint is to store the applicator upside down, pop it into the lid of a liquid detergent bottle!
The Fine Tip Glue Applicators are available on the website here.

Hope you all have a good weekend planned, I'm going to be at the shop
and also thinking I may have to do some gardening - Bella likes to help!
Take care friends.

Morning Christine, A fabulous frame, loving it !! The fine tip applicator sounds great for the more intricate dies, you could also use the spray adhesive from Crafter's Companion 'Stick and Stay', it works beautifully.
The weather doesn't look very bright today here, I'm off shopping shortly. Tomorrow is Palm Sunday at Church and we are reading 'The Passion' play, which I always find really 'moving', then we are having an 'Eggstravaganza' fundraiser straight after the Service, we are having jacket potato lunch and 'raffles' etc, I'm having butter, cheese and beans on my jacket (I'm greedy haha). Here's hoping your weekend goes well, Bella will love to 'help' if you are gardening !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Thank you for the 'tip'. Have ordered mine.
Enjoy your garden - I have trying to get mine under control this week. I can't believe how wild it has got.
Enjoy your weekend with Bella and the boys.

Hi Christine. What a lovely picture.
The butterflies look so pretty. Pound shops are great places to get so much stuff, especially if you are on a tight budget like I am : ) I have using 2 Fine Tip Glue Applicators for the last 18 months, they were recommended to me by a card demonstrator, and I would be lost without them I have one with PVA in and the other, which I use on most cards has Pinflair Bookbinding Glue in. It never clogs, dries quickly, doesn't cause bleeding, it is brilliant glue and using the Fine Tip applicator means that I have total control. They make the perfect pair. Also want to add that my delivery of the Tips was very quick. No, I'm not connected ton either product, just a very happy customer : )
Have a good weekend, enjoy the gardening, with Bellas help! Take care.

Morning Christine

Lovely frame. I made some for mothers day but they were the box frames similar to what we made in your class last year

I too have the fine tip applicators and they are fabulous

No crafting for me this weekend as my Grand Calibar has broken and my plates are jammed inside with a spellbinders die so I am a happy bunny today

Just got back from Belfast Craft Show yesterday, was great fun, I've bought loads and loads of card, storage boxes and envelopes, as they are what seem to cost a lot to get shipped to Ireland.

Worn out now, so I'm sitting with my feet up and a cuppa!
