I'm back on the wine!

Hello friends

Everyone check your toes...are they webbed yet?
Goodness so much rain, we had mini floods here in Kent,
driving back home from the cabin I went through road rivers.
Drying up now unlike my blog post today...

I'm back on the wine!
Today's card features Wine Charms and Labels 59.

Onto my ivory card base is 5 x 7 Matting Basics, gold mirror card and patterned paper.
I then created a narrow frame using Labels 59
mounted this up with 3D Foam Circles.
Using Labels 59 again die cut a different patterned paper (scrap box find)
and popped that inside the mounted frame.

I selected the barrel, glass and grape cluster from the Wine Charms set
to decorate the frame.
Cutting each from ivory card and colouring with distress inks.
Cut again from gold foil card to create that fine edging.

Leaving the die cut in the die for the wine glass to colour through for that nice rich red wine.

City working day for me, baffled really as I'm still convinced its Wednesday!

Take care friends and please stop by tomorrow for Friday Die Day.

Sew Sweet!

Hello friends

Hope you all had a good longer weekend, I will now
spend the rest of the week getting confused as to what day it is.
But...today is Sew Sweet!
It is actually Sew Sweet Valentine, one of Tammy Tutterow's dies
for Spellbinders.
Designed to also be used with felt/thin fabric these dies are indeed very sweet!

I chose to use paper and opted for subtle pinks and greens.
Anna Griffin paper for the heart.

The flowers, leaves and foliage are all in this die set,
in fact there's 14 dies.

I made a little video showing how I put this card together.
You can click below to watch or if you prefer watch via You Tube here.

The full Sew Sweet Collection can be viewed on the website here.
Here's a couple of fabric projects Tammy created using this same die set.

Gorgeous!

Over on the website the Bank Holiday offer has been extended.

Cheers!

Hello friends

I'm back from my trip to Stourbridge, a lovely demo day and
so nice to catch up with friends, thank you for coming along.
It was motorway madness driving home,
road closures, roadworks - grhhh!
Still, home now safe and sound.  Thankful to see Bella.
I'm not sure she missed me, she stayed with my parents
that meant lots and lots of treats!

While I was away I was demoing the Wine Country Collection,
so be prepared for quite a few wine related projects coming your way,
cheers eveyone!

Let's start with Time for Wine A2 Card Front.
This is one complete die and the perfect solution to creating an
instant card.  I thought I would girlie it up a bit with pink.
I've used the die twice, cut silver foil card to create the tiny drop shadow.
Onto the card base I used some Distress Oxide and blended it a little.

Overlaid the die cuts so it looks like the pink is in the bottle and glass...
(and perhaps a little bit spilled over!)

Added pink twine and little flowers and leaves - oh yes,
it is the time of the 'little flowers'!

I feel this collection has been overlooked for its usefulness.
I could be biased as I LOVE wine but its great for many occasions
and especially those hard to make men cards - minus the flowers if you wish!

Time for Wine A2 Card Front is available on the website here
and if wine is your tipple take a look at the Wine Country Collection,
you can view them all here.

Take care friends, what are you up to this Bank Holiday Monday?

Heavenly Hemstitch (again) and our Biggest Giveaway Ever!

Hello friends

Today's card is very simple compared to some of my recent 'makes'.
I've been heavily into layers and flowers.
Instead this time, I chose to make Hemstitch Squares the star.
I started by stamping an image onto a white card base and then die cut
Hemstitch Squares from silver foil card.
This is the middle size in the set.

Positioned over the stamped image with 3D Foam Squares and added
a sprig and little flowers.

A typed sentiment to finish, running across the width of the square.

Let's just say it was a lot quicker to make than other cards this week!

Hemstitch Squares is back in stock on the website here.
Also in stock is Hemstitch Circles, equally lovely and selling super fast.

In other news, Hope and Chances is hosting our biggest giveaway yet...
https://www.facebook.com/HopeandChances/
7 Dies A Week - we are giving away a brand new Spellbinders die each day for 7 days!
We start picking winners on Monday but you can enter from now.
All the details are on our Facebook page here.
 Why Facebook?
This is to promote our little online store through social media channels.
Times are changing and sadly blog posts are not as popular as they used to be.

Talking of social media you can now find us on pretty much every platform,
Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and as just mentioned Facebook.
We would love you to follow us.

Right, I'm hitting the motorway, off to Mountain Ash Crafts in Stourbridge.
Take care friends, have a smashing weekend.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

How is your week going?
Mine is going too fast!
Before I know it Friday comes around, I'm not complaining
as I'm really happy to share with you this week's Friday Die Day.

It is Ornamental Arch, one of the 3D Vignette dies.

No actual step photos but I've done a little video instead,
here it is.

You can always watch it in a larger format on YouTube,
just click the YouTube logo on the video.

I've gone blue which isn't a colour I use very often but I'm liking it.
I've also added little flowers...now that is something I'm doing a lot!

In the video I'm talking about the embossing folder I used which is
Spellbinders Medallion.  Not in stock but it is possible to obtain these
if enough people would like them so please let me know,
either by commenting or messaging.

I'm really pleased with how you can tailor this die to make a little door/gate opening.

Ornamental Arch is available on the website here.
3D Vignette Collection is on the website here but not many left!

If you didn't catch me on Facebook feeling elated about
Elliott's latest hospital trip I would love to share it with you here.
We were told this week that his test results are so good he need
only have one MRI a year, this is a big step and we are very relieved.
I think he looks happy...

I'm going to be at Mountain Ash Crafts in Stourbridge tomorrow
if you live that way please call in, it's demos and a make and take.
Take care friends and wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Cut and Emboss Folder

Hello friends

Today sharing with you one of the new Cut and Emboss Folders
just launched by Spellbinders.
This is Dotted Lace.

As the name says, it cuts and embosses which is super effective.
I created a simple white card with silver foil card behind
the cut sections.

A little ribbon bow and a cluster of flowers - I can't seem to stop
using little flowers right now.

I've made a very quick (extremely quick!)
video for Instagram but you can also view it here.

Dotted Lace is just one of the new selection of Cut and Emboss folders
available on the website here, perfect for letter pressing too.
You can view them all here, nice price too :)

Take care friends and please stop by tomorrow for Friday Die Day.
