Here's how they look cut/embossed.
A clean and simple card this week.
A white card with a strip of music washi tape applied to the left hand side
and a stamped sentiment to the bottom.
I then selected a smaller piece of white card and applied text washi tape across
until fully covered.
Trimmed, rounded the corners and affixed at an angle.
I then applied the Pretty Petals C die cuts, cut from pink and jade cardstock.
Crystal gemstones add to the middle for a touch of sparkle.
Pretty Petals C is available on the website here and be sure to check out the other
Pretty Petals - all on sale too!
Again, huge thanks for your supportive comments yesterday - you are all so lovely.
Hoping to answer a few questions regarding the new Sapphire machine:
Will it take other dies?
Yes, it will take your smaller Spellbinders dies and it will also be fine for other
thin metal dies. Of course the new Sapphire dies will work in your Grand Calibur too :)
Will it be safe for children?
The recommendation on the box is age 14 and above.
Will it always be exclusive to Create and Craft?
For the foreseeable future yes, apologies I had not realised that when I chatted about it
this week - but please reach out to me with any Sapphire questions.
How does the Sapphire compare to the Artisan X-Plorer?
Firstly there is quite a weight difference - the Artisan weighs around 6 pounds whereas
the Sapphire weighs less than 1.9 pounds.
Secondly, the plate sizes differ - the Artisan plates measure 4½ x 8¼"
and the Sapphire plates measure approximately 2½ x 6".
And thirdly, the overall sizes differ - here are the approximate measurements:
Artisan:
(L) - excluding handle 10¾ x ( (W) 4½” x (H) 7¾"
Sapphire:
(L) - including handle 7¾" x (W) 3¼" x (H) 5¼"
I'm in Buckinghamshire tomorrow, teaching a class and demoing at
A Maze of Memories.
Please stop by and say hello if you live that way, also you can say hello to my Mum
as she is accompanying me - perfect for chatting on long journeys!
Take care friends - have a good weekend.

I love your card today. I have some washi tape but wasn't really sure what to do with it but I think I will dust it off and have a play with it. When you stick it onto card can you then die cut it?
Safe journey tomorrow

Morning Christine, A great idea with the washi tape, I have quite a few rolls and haven't used them yet, I will have to go searching for them haha.
Have a good weekend demo'ing and lovely that your Mum is going with you.
I love the 'dinky' Sapphire, it is so, so, cute.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Hi Christine. I'm really not sure just where the days are going at the moment but I have caught up again so must say that the photo of Elliott and your Mum is lovely, such lovely smiles : ) I am keeping my fingers firmly crossed that the quality from the open sided scanners is good enough for Elliott to be able to have his future scans that way.
It's good to see your bluebells are slowly coming out, around here they are in full bloom, it's gorgeous to see : )
The butterfly card is so simple and quick to make and it is so pretty. I love it and todays card is another pretty one, they are great little dies. They would fit in the new Sapphire machine I imagine. It is tiny isn't it, handy if you cut a lot of small embellishments etc. Have you had a chance to use one yet? And do you have any idea when it will be on the open market?
I hope you and your Mum have a good time tomorrow at A Maze of Memories, what lovely company for you : ) Take care xx

Hi Christine, a lovely black and white card. X Ros
Morning Christine,
A lovely quick card, we all need them from time to time.
The machine look so cute, but I'll stick with what I have, I still use my Cuttlebug for small dies.

What is the conversion (U.S.) price? It is nice and compact but will only accodomate the small dies so don't know if I would use that much. Still love my Grand Calibur!
