Giveaway Wednesday and trying something new...

Hello friends

It's Wednesday and that means...
Last week's giveaway was a pre-loved die set
 From Heart and Hand.

Thank you for all the comments and the winner is...

Rainey's Craft Room

Congratulations please email:
hope-chances@live.co.uk
with your details and we will post your prize out to you.

Now onto this week's giveaway.
It's a pack of glass cabochons from our
Hope and Charm-ing range.  These feature the pretty Blue Tits
and would team well with many projects.

If you would like to win this week's giveaway
please leave a comment on today's post
A winner will be picked and announced next Wednesday.
(Please claim your prize within a month of announcement).

We have more new Hope and Charm-ing items over on the website here.

So here's my new purchase and my 'try something new'.
My plan is to do this in the evenings instead of sitting at my
computer working, it's hard to switch off so this might do the trick.

I like the idea of learning how to do the scrolls, flowers as well
as the lettering (it's not as posh and disciplined as calligraphy).
I purchased the book and pens from Amazon and I'll keep you posted
how it goes.  Let me know if you've tried this and have any tips please.

Take care friends, have a great middle of the week.

Well done Rainey, and yes please to the draw for those gorgeous cabochons.
Have fun learning the lettering, I hope you'll be sharing the results with us. I love sentiment stamps because my writing is so scruffy, it would be interesting to know whether learning this would help me to write my own so i'm not restricted to what I can buy on a stamp

I love the giveaway today
I will be very interested in seeing how you get along with the “writing”
As a little girl my dad used to used rub-on lettering for his job from a company called Letraset No computers in those days He used to bring the scraps home but more importantly he brought the catalogue home and I used to spend hours copying all of the different fonts

Morning Christine, that’s such a coincidence! I’ve just received some brush pens as I really like the idea of doing it. I have a book on learning calligraphy but think it might be better to have one specifically on brush lettering. So I’ll have a look on Amazon. Good luck with it and I’ll let you know how I get on. I did a Modern Calligraphy workshop recently which I really enjoyed. However, I've started practicing the same lettering using brush pens and I find that much better. It does require practice though, but is a very relaxing thing to do. It requires you to focus and I find this really helps to take your mind off other things. You'll enjoy it! I like the look of your book though, and especially learning the scrolls and flowers too, that will really enhance the lettering! ❤️ Enjoy lovely! Love the blue tit cabochons! 💕 X

have fun trying to destress and playing with the scrolls. the cabouchans are so soft and springlike. i'm so ready for spring and it's not even winter officially yet. they are calling for snow at the end of the weekend or the beginning of next week. don't they know, I live in the southern us 'cause I've seen enough snow already!

The lettering project looks interesting but not for me unfortunately as I slipped on the ice this morning and broke my wrist so now doing everything with my left hand only - very slow! No crafting for a while either. Good job I've got all my cards made. Love the pretty cabouchons. x
