Tuesday Tip/Technique

Hello friends

This week's TTT is a reminder as to how you can achieve extra dimension to die cuts.
I've selected Stars Five.
Using a score board, score in from the points to the middle and fold up.
Layer up 3D Foam Squares inside to affix them to your project.
I used the dimensional star on a tag (yes, a tag again!)
Also another little tip - to achieve the perfect frame I use my Magnetic Placement Mat.
And here you can see how much dimension the star has.
The decorations came down yesterday, the house now looks so bare and dull.
The kittens are definitely missing the tree!
I'm intending to put up some fairy lights here and there to try and keep the magic,
on a positive note - only 352 days to go!

Take care friends, I'm back tomorrow.

Hi Christine. Love the tag, It's good to see how easy it is to shape the star.
I hate taking the decorations and tree down, the house looks so bare and dull doesn't it.
You and I both know that those 352 will soon fly by won't they! : )
Take care.

Love the tag idea & I might even try this as I have the Star dies and hardly ever use them.

Hello Christine
My tree stays till 12th night thats today .it always seems quicker coming down, and so sad that the beautiful lights are gone, but as you say 352 days till they go up again!
I don't have the star Dies but I feel a purchase coming on! lol
Love how you have folds to the centre, Christine
Take care

Hi Christine, another great Tuesday tip and tag! We took the lights outside the house down on Sunday and I removed some of the decs yesterday, but the tree stays until 12th Night and as I'm not in work tomorrow they will all be put away then...but I always keep a few twinkly lights around and things, such as the Tilda polar bears that I made and are as much winter as Christmas will stay for a while, I can get away with that, lol! Also keep lights on my craft barn :) Hugs Carole Z X

Hello Christine. I'm not allowed to take any decorations down until the 18th! My daughter is coming back from Australia for a visit then and wants the house to be just as it was for Christmas. Oh dear! I hope I'm not jinxing the next 352 days! Love the star by the way, must give that a go. xxMargaretxx

Our decorations, lights and tree all came down last Thursday. Unusually early for us, but we wanted to start unpacking some more boxes from the house move to put things in place. We have a real tree every year, my husband is German so it's something we've done since we were married, as it's a great tradition over there.
Tomorrow it goes out with our rubbish, and our council take it away for re-cycling, free of charge which is brilliant! We bought it once again from Ikea for £25. They issue you with a £20 gift voucher to be spent in store from 19/1, so it's a bargain at £5!
Love your tag today, I have the X-cut star dies, so will definitely give this a go.

I can't believe you actually wrote that! I'm all in favour of year-round lights though. Great tip for a dimensional star and one which I can try. Thanks.

Hi Christine, You are genius!! how fabulous does the star look, domed in the centre, fabulous !!
I took my outside lights down this morning, the outside now looks all drab and dreary, the lights certainly had a 'feel good' effect and definitely lifted the spirits. What a good idea to put up fairy lights here and there, what a good idea ......... maybe I will copy that !!! thanks.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Great tip!! I think I need to get the stars dies so I can do this!! They look so much better in 3D than flat in my opinion!! Thanks for the tip!
I LOVE when the decorations come down. The house feels bigger for a while!
