Hello friends
It's Friday Die Day and it's Christmas!
Oh how I wish it was...anyone else experiencing January blues with this horrible weather?
Even though Christmas is over I am featuring Christmas dies today -
2012 Heirloom Ornaments but showing you something a little different.
I cannot take credit for this idea, the very clever Debi Adams,
a Spellbinders Concept Designer designed this and she has kindly
given me permission to use it as Friday Die Day.
Thank you Debi!
There are five die templates in this set and they measure:
1: ⅝ x 1¼”
2: 1¼ x 2¼”
3: 2 x 3⅜”
4: 2⅝ x 4⅝”
5: 3⅜ x 6″
This how they look cut/embossed.

I've used die #4 and cut/embossed 5 in pink and 3 in green,
also #3 to cut 5 in pink.
Inked the edges lightly.
And then some curling - the larger ones curled under the smaller ones
curled upwards.
Now beginning to glue the centres together until....
it begins to look very much like a flower!
The finishing touch is Blooms One for the middle.
Now that doesn't look like a Christmas ornament at all!
You can use any combination of the dies depending on the size of flower you wish to make.
Debi's flower is Christmassy and appeared on the Spellbinders Christmas website banner below.
You can find Debi at her blog here
2012 Heirloom Ornaments are on the website, in fact at a very special price for
a limited time! Details are here.
Have a wonderful weekend - let's stay in and craft as the weather forecast is pretty awful!
Take care friends.

Hi All.
WOW that is beautiful. Thank you, take care all. Kitty.
Hi Christine,
A great idea, it just shows the versatility of spellbinders dies and some thinking outside of the box.
Have a good day.

Morning Christine, what a wonderful idea for a seasonal die. I often look at my dies and try yo think of different uses, unfortunately, some are too Christmassy! Sitting in my lounge listening to very strong wind outside, wish I could stay here in the warmth, but sadly my boss wouldn't like it. Have a great day. Lynn xx
Hi Christine. Love the flower. It proves that you can easily make use of some Christmas dies all year round, the poinsettia is the same. I hope the gales stay away. Stay safe everyone. Take care.
p.s. just reread my comment and am glad I did as I think you may be a tad old to get the wind Christine!
Wow-what a great project. Very different use of christmas dies.
Soon to head off to work in the hideous weather but its not as bad as Scotland is getting.

Beautiful Christine, great you can use this die all year round and not just for Christmas.
Love & hugs

Thank you for FDD.
I hope you have a good day. Take care. x.
Fantastic demonstration that an Ornament is not just for Christmas! It makes a lovely bloom reminding me of a lotus flower (sort of). Happy FDD. It's sunny today too.
Hi Christine
Love how this die was used to make a flower. It's good to see what else can be done using christmas dies. Makes the purchase so worth while. Stay safe in this wind. Hope my washing stays on the line.
Very pretty flower, Christine.

Hi Christine, that is brilliant and shows that the spellbinders dies can be very versatile. You just have to think outside the box...or know someone who can think outside the box...hehehe.
