Hello friends
Thank you for the lovely response to yesterday's post,
Yana's cards are stunning and show such a great way of using the dies.
Today's card is another new UK release and it looks very much in keeping
with our country - a cute cottage, Cozy Cottage.
The die set comes with the little shaped pieces that I have added to the thatched
roof but cut in green, they make lovely tufts of grass!
Cozy Cottage is available to pre-order on the website here.
Now to hopefully answer some die questions.
Dies are discontinued for a variety of reasons, firstly it would be impossible to keep
the entire inventory of dies, new dies are introduced, styles change so some definitely
have to be discontinued - I know it's often sad though.
Another main reason is sales.
Even though we may find that a die is extremely popular in this country,
it may not be abroad so the the sale percentage drops. I guess, like all businesses it
is impractical to stock a product that is not selling as well as others.
The good news is that Spellbinders are aware that we get upset when certain
dies are discontinued, they take note and an example is Grand Squares,
they realised these were really popular in the UK and have now brought out
the 6 x 6 Matting Basics.
So take heart, you may see your favourites reappear.
In between keep an eye out on the Pre-Loved section on the website,
you may find the die you have been seeking there :)
Bella news...
A bit of sunshine yesterday so Elliott and I took Bella out to the woods.
It was very muddy but she didn't mind, here she is sporting a red jumper -
Lady in Red!
Also delighted to see bluebells are sprouting between all the fallen leaves.
Take care friends - back tomorrow for Friday Die Day.

Hi Christine,
Bella looks stunning in her Red Jumper, I have also noticed all the little bulbs springing to life, Spring is definitely on the way. Your card using the Cottage die is lovely, I look forward to seeing what else you do with the new dies.

Good morning Christine
Lovely card today - the house die is lovely and I like the fact that the tufts are included which give projects lots of texture.
Bella looks gorgeous (as usual) in her red jumper. The bluebells are also starting to pop up in my garden too, a sure sign that Spring is on its way.
Enjoy your day

Hi Christine. The card is so pretty, and I love the new dies, the little bundles of thatch really add dimension.
Doesn't Bella look lovely in her red jumper : )
Thank you for explaining about the dies. I always understood that some have to be discontinued, just couldn't get why the Grands were stopped, but I forgot that it is an American company. Now I am wondering why the Americans etc didn't want the Grands as much as us over the pond, but of course they make much smaller cards than we do!
Isn't is wonderful to see the country waking up? As soon as I see the first Snowdrops I know it is on the way, and also not having to draw the curtains so early :))
Just 2 sleeps to go : )) Take care.

Morning Christine, hope you and your family are all keeping well. Are the new basic layering dies 8 x 8 or 6 x 6?
Hi Christine, just love your sweet card, and Bella is looking very smart, can you tell me, when I click on the link on this post for the 8x8 matting basics it takes me to your web page, and the dies on there say 6x6 ? Is there both sizes and the link is wrong or is there just the 6x6 sets?
More pussycat tails please and also would you be able to do a tutorial or two on the new flower dies, especially the carnation and orchid
Love to all the family xx
Hi Christine, Love the card and the die. Bella looks lovely and sweet. love Jean Z xx

Apologies - I made an error putting 8 x 8 in my blog post today! I really must stop typing at midnight! The new dies are 6 x 6 :)
The cottage is a great idea, but I do wonder what size it is please? Bella looks comfortable in her bright jumper.
Hi, the cottage die is very sweet, and will be added to my wish list. X Ros
Hi Christine,
Your Bella is just such a cutie and looks great after her wee haircut. Loved all your cards this week. Is the Grand Peony die set one that has been discontinued?
It's blowing a gale here with snow on and off, a great day to stay indoors crafting. Have a great weekend.
