A Merry Christmas - Vintage Style

Hello friends
Today I'm sharing a more unusual card with you.
Last year I was approached by a company to produce a series of cards using some vintage postcards/pictures.  The plan was that they may want to produce them on a bigger scale.
Unfortunately that wasn't to be, the poor company, like so many others
has suffered in this economic climate.
It does mean however that I can share with you some of the cards.
Here is the Layered Poinsettia again!
For the picture frame I used Lattice Rectangles and Classic Rectangles.
The background paper is Graphic 45 - Christmas Emporium,
I stamped the base section with a music stamp and added my elements.
Today on the 'to do list' - the garden, craft, shopping and I have a horrible feeling that
ironing pile is creeping up again - oh to have little ironing fairies that visit while I sleep...!
Have a brilliant weekend friends - what are you up to?

Hi Christine,
wonderful card so love the vintage image. I found a very old Christmas card at my Mums once. I must try and coy it and use it as it's so pretty.
Have a wonderful crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Morning Christine, A beautiful card, I love anything vintage so this really 'sings' to me. I have this Graphic 45 paper pad and I love how you have stamped the music at the bottom, very effective. I'm loving the 'Santa' too, and of course it goes without saying, the poinsettia is tremendous.
I hope to get some crafting in today, alongside some ironing (most of it already done), some food shopping, I've already done the garden, but have just been out to pick up some leaves from my front garden, it's all nice and 'leaf free' for a little while, I think you can gather that I have a 'leaf phobia', I hate them ha ha.
Have a good weekend.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
PS Are you at Kettering next week?

Hoping to get our into the garden today as its supposed to be a lovely day, patricia my neighbours tree sheds loads of leaves at the back and the front but mainly at my side and it drives me nuts!

I have been waiting for the ironing fairy for years, think she has gone AWOL along with the cleaning fairy!

Love the card Christine. Vintage is my husbands favourite style of card so this might be just for him. Today is crafting all the way to get away from football. Mind you I also have some ironing to do, but I am the odd housewife that loves the task, order out of ask that chaos. Love Linda

Morning Christine, the card is beautiful and although vintage is not my usual style I am getting a feeling for it now. Yes a shame about the company, unfortunately like so many others.
This weekend I will be catching up on ironing after my holiday and if you do manage to get those fairies to do your ironing please put them in touch with me...hehehe.
Of course I will be crafting too.
Enjoy your weekend.

I love vintage Christmas cards Christine - there is just something extra special about them. I noticed the music print but thought it was already on the paper - this has really enhanced it beautifully. Great card.

Hugs to you Sue Pxxx

We were gardening yesterday - not quite finished because we ran out of soil and bulbs!!!! So we need to go shopping! As for the ironing fairies - if you find any, please mention my name after they have finished yours of course.

Hi Christine, Super card, love vintage and esp. the paper by G45. Poinsettia just finishes the card. Sad when companies go under, even when they are onto a good thing.
Well, I was wrong about the weather yesterday, it has been lovely and sunny here although a little chilly. It rained so much yesterday gave gardening a miss and went on a crafty shopping mission instead as i did most of the housework yesterday.
I'm very lucky, I HAVE an ironing fairy,in the form of a very special friend ( one of those rare spiecies of female who justs loves ironing)and she gets upset if I dont leave it for her too!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend. C B W Carolyn x

Hi Christine, Well my comment is very late today, been busy busy busy. I agree with every one that the card is lovely but I have a reservation about Santa to me he seem scary, I feel the same with most of the vintage look Santas.

Oh well you can't please everyone. Maybe better if I went to bed.
