Flowers, Foliage and Woodland Walk

Hello friends

I'm revisiting some projects and today's card features
It's a three leaf die set and foliage is always handy.

I've used one of the designs for my card and also
Flower Play with the coordinating stamps.

If you are like me and favour flowers you can't go wrong with
having plenty of foliage dies.

Both I'll Never Leaf You and Flower Play are available on the website,
please click on their names to take you there.

The lovely weather continued and it was calm and wonderful
to walk Bella through the woods, the snowdrops are out and
it will not be long before the Bluebells appear - beautiful time of year.

Today I'm putting the final touches to some #Paperhearts kits for
an event in London tomorrow.  This is to celebrate the launch of the paperback.
If you are on Facebook you will have seen that there is going to be a Craft Spa -
something very different.
I'll be sure to share pictures.

Take care friends.

Bird Chirping Weather...

Hello friends

Thank you to those who purchased this month's Charity Kit,
there is still some left as I made extra this month so please visit yesterday's
blog post here if you wish to take a look.

Today's project has appeared on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog.
It's a pillow box decorated with a Keepsake Envelope.
I printed a favourite quote to place inside.
"My favourite weather is bird chirping weather".

I kept the design very simple by just adding a single flower and leaf set.
There's a full step by step tutorial over on their blog including a little video
about Keepsake Envelopes.

Yesterday marked the anniversary of my designing for Scrapbook Adhesives for 5 years,
that's quite a few projects!
They are a fantastic company with brilliant products and Hope and Chances is
one of the few UK suppliers.  Also if you've ordered from the website at one
point you are probably likely to have received some 3D Foam Squares as a gift :)

Yesterday I power hosed the paving in my little garden,
goodness it looks so much better.
I hadn't realised how messy it would be though...
when finished I was thoroughly grimy and wet!

Today back in the cabin as projects to do and DVDs to watch!

Take care friends - wishing you all a great start to the week.

Gold and White

Hello friends

Pinch punch.... April already!

Today revisiting a gold and white design.
The die featured here is Arched Diamond, a strip die that I've chosen
to place vertically.

A clean design with a white card base, gold border, white mat
and some strategically placed pearls...that took the longest time!

The detail is deeply embossed and very Art Deco.

This design also works wonderfully in black and white,
great for men!

I was hoping for a sunny day today for gardening but
not sure that is happening, all forecasts say thundery showers!

Take care friends, please stop by tomorrow -
it's Charity Kit Day.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

So I'm revisiting my old blog which feels a little strange but nice.
This is due to that boy of mine being offered a place at Uni
so it will not be long before I take back the reins of the website.
He's done a smashing job and I'm certain I'll still be calling on him,
he knows all that techy stuff which just bewilders me!

So here's this week's Friday Die Day...

This week I've chosen Spellbinders Labels 52.

This is a five piece die set and the approximate measurements are:

1: 1.10 x 1.75 in
2: 1.70 x 2.60 in
3: 2.30 x 3.70 in
4: 3.00 x 4.80 in
5: 3.80 x 6.00 in

This is how they look cut/embossed.

I took the largest die cut #5 and made two score lines horizontally.

Just above the top score line I secured a small bar of chocolate.
(You will also see I've punched little holes top and bottom point,
I'll mention those in a bit).

I then selected two more die cut Labels 52, a stamped sentiment and flower/leaf set.
Layered these to great an embellishment.

The finished little gift/favour pouch.
Where I punched those holes earlier you could thread through twine or ribbon.
I discovered this white mini peg on my desk and opted for that!

Instantly I'm thinking these would work for weddings.
Or...Christmas!

Labels 52 is available both new and pre-loved on the website,
details are here.

Wishing you a lovely weekend, I'm hoping for a little bit of sun
to do a spot of gardening.

Take care friends.

Everything that the larger Platinum has in a smaller format.
A 6" cutting platform with power, strength and durability.

It takes both sorts of dies - steel rule and regular thin metal dies.
I still have some steel rule dies in the Sale available.

Included with the machine:

Instruction booklet
Handle
Platform
Two cutting plates
Embossing Plate
Tan Embossing Mat
