Hello friends
I'm still away in Peterborough with my travel buddy Becca.
On Monday we moved across to a rental cottage in Oundle,
hotels are nice but staying in a period cottage is much nicer.
It also happens to be just a 5 minute drive to Hochanda studios which is perfect.
Here's our little place. Inside it is all period with great attention to detail
including an Aga - now that's been a learning curve!
Do any of you have an Aga? How do you cope in the Summer?
It keeps the whole house so warm!
I did smile when Becca announced that her shed at home
is bigger than this little cottage :)
Being away I haven't had any time to craft - I did bring a crafting kit but it
hasn't quite made it out of the boot of my car.
Instead I'm sharing some projects that have been sitting in my drafts.
This is a card using the Glimmer Hot Foil plate Hearts and Love.
This is a great hot foil plate set as it is three hearts (and for only £7.50).
I've chosen to use the middle size in gold foil onto vellum.
A white card base with a gold mirror card mat
all affixed in place with E-Z Permanent Strips.
A further patterned paper mat and then the vellum affixed with two brads...
Bring Back the Brad!
It's a very simple card but I like the heart just there in the middle with the
patterned paper just visible through the vellum.

Glimmer Hot Foil System (more machines arriving next week)
For more Glimmer ideas tune into Becca's shows today on Hochanda,
9am, 1pm and 5pm.
Have a lovely Thursday, take care friends.

A beautiful card Christine and love the cottage. .thank you for sharing. Enjoy the rest of your stay. Missed Becca at 9am but will watch later.
Hi Christine
How lovely is that little cottage and an Aga oh it brings back lovely memories of a trip
to Ireland years ago and each really cosy Pub we visited the "Special" on offer was an
Aga roast which was varied and so tasty and the jacket potatoes were to die for so fluffy
and lots of butter...…………………………..
This card is lovely I have this die and after watching Becca's show yesterday I ordered a
couple more hot plate sets from yourselves so looking forward to playing with my lovely
new machine.
Hugs Annxx

Hello Christine
Love the little cottage, smaller than Becca's Shed but then we are only an island so things would be smaller !
Beautiful card and love the paper too!
Take care

Hi Christine, Your rental cottage sounds gorgeous !! I have always wanted an Aga and my hubby's reply was always " yes, with the right house wrapped around it" haha.
Your card is lovely, and I've really enjoyed watching Becca's shows.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
