Tuesday Tip/Technique

Hello friends

Back in the swing of things now after my little break over Christmas,
I truly enjoyed spending time with the boys and my family  - watched so much TV!
Finally watched Frozen - so now humming those songs continuously.
Absolutely loved Agatha Raisin, That Day We Sang, Miranda,
Downton Abbey (of course!) - so a bit goggled eyed and gained a pound or two!

Now to the important stuff ...yes, Tuesday Tip/Technique!
How about using just a section of your die to shape tags?
I love tags but it is nice to add interesting shape to them.
Slide your tag into the die template as shown below.
This is Labels Three.
Good idea to use removable tape and fix it down onto your cutting mat.
I run it partially through the Grand Calibur to cut/emboss the top area,
otherwise you do get an impression of the bottom section of the die,
no problem if you are covering it up though.
A tag with a nice shaped bottom!
For this kraft tag I've used Labels Twenty Eight.
It would also look great with the decorative labels.
It's a nice idea to mirror the shape with a smaller die cut.
And then you can start decorating, I've used Sprigs and Pretty Petals D.
The papers are Basic Grey - 25th and Pine, Christmas papers still left on my craft table!
 Some close up pics.

A simple but effective idea, not just limited to tags either, shape your cards too.

Take care friends - I'm back tomorrow.

Brilliant idea & great Top Tip. I made quite a few christmas tags & sold them all so I guess I need to make more "general " ones.

Good morning Christine
Yes I too have over indulged in too much TV and far too much chocolate. Feeling those extra pounds!my children bought me Frozen for Christmas and it is a lovely film.
Another great TTD. I will have to try this one. Where do you get your tags forms? Do you use a die to cut them?
Enjoy your day
Lesley

Hi Christine
Such a lovely idea Christine. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you had a lovely christmas.
I love the caption at the top of your post. Like the owl and the pussy cat cartoon you had a good while ago, these type of stamps would be a huge success. Do you remember I suggested that before, with the owl and the pussy cat cartoon you had.

HI Christine, I'm actually not back crafting yet...going to wait until we are both back at work next week..too much else going on with us both at home! I loved Agatha Raisin too...love the books, probably because of the Cotswold connection...it was filmed in a village quite close to us.
Love your Tuesday tip, it looks fab! In case I don't make it back here before, Happy New Year to you all!! Hugs Carole Z X

Hi Christine, Ditto, I got to watch Frozen too, I had been humming the main song for ages, and I absolutely loved it !! We have done lots of tv watching, mainly 'Christmas 24' movies, lots of eating (stuff we never eat normally haha) and it has been fabulous. I'm glad you have been enjoying the same 'naughtiness' haha.
I'm loving your tips for tags, we will all be looking through our labels dies now to see which will make lovely decorative ends. Your sample tag is gorgeous, and I notice that the lovely 'sprigs' has made an appearance.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
