What we brought home from the seaside....!

Hello friends

Yesterday we took a trip to the seaside...Margate.
Most people would bring back a stick of rock but we didn't....
We went to 'view' some kittens, silly notion really -
how was we going to walk away without one!
Especially as these are rescue kittens being wonderfully
looked after by Cats in Crisis - Alex is the lady who takes in kittens and is
always looking for homes so if you happen to be on the lookout for kittens,
definitely get in touch.

For Elliott's 18th birthday I said he could have a kitten and he had the
very difficult task of selecting one...
The decision was so difficult we came away with two!
Yes two!!
Brother and Sister Bengal cross - absolutely gorgeous.
Let me introduce you to Lily and Pixel.
(Can you tell which one I had a little influence in naming!?)
I am thrilled to report that Bella loves them!
She has been wonderful, so gentle and backing away when we tell her to.
Bella is also receiving double fuss as we don't want her to be jealous.

We realised we didn't have any cat toys indoors so I quickly made a few
pom poms with the Pom Pom Maker

So these two gorgeous bundles of fluff are going to consume a bit of time
so apologies no crafty blog post today but lots in the pipeline.
Also announcing the winner of June's Charity Kit this week
and thank you for all the comments yesterday.

Take care friends, I'm off to buy all things kitten today!

Hi Christine. Aren't they gorgeous! I thought you would end up with two, they will be company for each other. Love both pics, Elliott is looking well, and very happy : ) So glad Bella is good with them, t's surprising what a lot of extra fuss can do isn't it : ) When Gemma was born we made a point of giving Mum and Dad's 2 year old black Lab, Maisie, a biscuit every time we took Gem in just to make sure that Maisie knew that this funny little thing meant good times : ) Maisie was wonderful with Gem, even more gentle and loving, and used to "tell" us as soon as Gem started to cry, even if we were holding her at the time! They grew up devoted to each other : )
Totally understand that Lily and Pixel will be taking centre stage for a while : ) Take care.

Oooh, I'd love a couple of kittens! We always had cats, and sadly I had to leave a real friend of one behind when I moved from the UK to Ireland.

Both my outside doors have double glazed panels in them which are difficult to fit cat doors in, so I am petless - too old to be jumping up every time one wants to come in or go out.

Oh Christine, such little beauties!
Welcome to the extended family Lily & Pixel!
I hope they bring as much love, joy and happiness as our two Bella & Milo have! Lily and Pixel are very similar looking to our Bella.
Elliott must be over the moon, what a lovely birthday gift, it will certainly be a gift that keeps on giving
Hugs to you all

Oh my goodness. Can't believe how lovely they are or amazingly how similar little Pixel is to my daughter's cat - also Pixel. Enjoy their antics, don't worry about the furniture or your plants or the floor as they grow up all too quickly. Poor Bella, she'll soon learn who's boss in the house! Glad she's making friends. Looking forward to more photos. xxMargaretxx

Hi Christine,

They are absolutely gorgeous, I adore cats and have two of my own, they are 13 & 14 years old now and I love them to bits, they have bought so much joy into our house and give you loads of laughter you won't regret having them. Good that Bella is coping with them.

Love & Hugs

I can understand completely, christine...I went looking for a kitten and ended up bringing two home! My old cat wasn't happy, wasn't it bad enough making her share the place with a..dog??? Unfortunately one had to go and I kept Big Bad Bud. He's half Tiffany and is HUGE with golden eyes. He loves the dog and the dog loves him. Sadly, my old girl had to be put to sleep a couple of weeks ago, she was 17 1/2 years old and I had her when she was just five weeks. I really miss her but Bud (real name Maru - which is Maori for shadow) has become much more friendly since Mo left us, it's almost as if he knows I need some loving. All I can say is it's a good job I'm nowhere near Margate, it's a bit too far from Truro, or I would most definitely have to 'view' the kittens lol
