Friday Die Day

Hello friends
Friday Die Day is here and it is ..... Basil!
Feel free to exclaim that in the voice of Sybil Fawlty if you wish!

(Apologies to overseas visitors - it was a very British TV programme).

This is one of the herb pot dies that Spellbinders has launched,
there is also Sage and Lavender.

You receive 5 die templates with this set and they measure:
Blooms: Ranges from ¼ x ⅛” to ⅜ x ⅛” (3)
Plant Marker: ¾ x ¾”
Stem 1: ⅝ x 1⅝”
Stem 2: ⅞ x 1¾”
Stem 3: ¾ x 1⅞”
Flower Pot: 1½ x 1¼”
This is how they look cut/embossed.
A tag today (surprise surprise!)
This is a Ranger kraft tag that I've cut down and rounded the corners.

Added some colour paper to the bottom, stamped and inked sentiment to the top.
And then very simply added the die cuts.
I used a 3D Foam Square for the plant pot to enable me to pop the
flower stems behind.  It is possible to stamp a small sentiment on the plant marker.
Kept it simple to highlight this lovely die, fantastic for any gardeners you know,
or even cooks!
Later today my June Jamboree project will be appearing on the Spellbinders blog,
feel free to hop over there and have a nose.

Tomorrow is Knit and Natter in the shop - if you are in Gravesend call in and say hello,
doesn't matter if you cannot knit...just natter!
Take care friends and have a lovely weekend.

Morning Christine,
This is such a useful little die - my dad is a keen gardener and I always make him cards on that theme. This would make an excellent embellishment. This will definitely be added to my wishlist.
Enjoy your day hopefully in the sunshine.

Hi Christine , such lovely dies and a very pretty tag so clean and simple but says a lot .

My day didn't go as planned Yesterday Christine { visitors doh } i usually love visitors but not when i want to try out my new GC , and they didn't leave until 4 O'clock
So my plan of action for Today is, if anyone knocks on the door i will pretend i am not in { a Gal has to do what a Gal has to do } right that said i will away to do my chores then it is Craft , play and Craft .

Take Care

Hi Christine. What cute dies. Absolutely love the smell of basil and I adored the TV series. We still come out with some of Basils sayings.

Hi Christine. I love these dies, they are so sweet and can be used in so many ways. Best of all they are great for using on mens cards etc. Your tag is lovely, so pretty : ) I will pop over to the Spellbinders blog later on. Fawlty Towers is very popular worldwide, I don't think the humour is really understood by others, and I hope they don't believe our hotels are run by people like Basil and Sybil : )
Enjoy Knit and Natter tomorrow and have a great weekend : ) Take care.

Morning Christine,
Love your tag, so cute. I do like the pots but don't think I would use them very often, there are so many other dies on my very long wish list.

Good morning Christine & blog friends,
Another FDD success, lovely dies, very useful for so many different things, I love how the pit is separate, which means it can be used to build a scene or just as it is!
Thank you Christine for inspiring us once again.
I hope that you get lots of a Knitters to natter with tomorrow, I am sure you will.
Hugs

The second I saw the pic of Sybil I thought "BASIL!" So funny how certain images can provoke an almost universal reaction.
Lovely tag and these little dies are brilliant.
