Nearly Back to Normal....
My blog is not the only thing to have been ignored and abandoned recently (you should see the ironing pile!) but I am very glad to report that things are nearly back to normal. The hiatus in my day to day manic routine was being selected for Jury Service - I experienced just over two weeks at the Coroner's Court and it was truly awful. I truly feel I've done my civic duty so just a little plea to the 'powers that be'... please please do NOT pick me ever again!

Lovely Lawn!
It's done - hooray!! I have a new lawn. The saga of the VT lawn started years ago when the conservatory builders accidentally tipped a whole wheelbarrow of cement over it! No amount of grass seed could ever sort that! The weeds grew and gradually took over and what little grass there was became suffocated by a carpet of moss! But now after a day of toil (Mum and Dad you are stars!), skimming, raking (I've discovered muscles that I did not existed!) trips to the tip (thank you Mitch) - a gorgeous green lawn. I'm now going to start reading those boxes of weed and feed.... ;-)

Getting Organised....
I'm finally sorting out this blogging lark and I've created a new one purely for my writing - http://deskadventures.blogspot.com/ Please visit if you fancy a read of ongoing projects, items published or about to be submitted. Don't visit too quickly though - it's pretty bare at the moment! ;-)

A Trip to London
On our quest to find more elephants, the boys and I spent Saturday in London - we managed to find lots more as we travelled around King's Cross, Oxford Circus, Hyde Park, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square and more! Exhausting but brilliant fun :-)
This is Panda-Elephant near Marble Arch - becoming a real favourite.
And... Mitchell sporting his new hat and relaxing in Hyde Park.

Serenaded!
I'm not moaning really but I have the smallest kitchen imaginable and this is where my son chooses to sit and serenade me! Actually it's lovely and I know one day he will no longer want to sit on my worktop and play me the latest songs he has learned so I thought I would capture him on film - I can feel a scrapbooking page coming on.... :-)
