Friday Die Day

Hello friends

Thank you for all your kind get well messages.
I'm rather disappointed to report that they could not remove my kidney stone,
I had visions of coming home with it in a little jar but no...it was not to be.
My stone packed a little case and went travelling, it got bored of being in my kidney!
The surgeon could not locate it but feels it is probably still there.
(I'm very certain it is still there!)
So it is a bit of a waiting game which is not ideal but life
is never really straightforward is it, it likes to keep us on our toes!

Now crafty stuff...

This week's Friday Die Day is the stunning
This is a truly magnificent five piece die set, this is how it looks cut/embossed.

The approximate measurements are:

Oval Tag: 1.40 x 2.10 in. 3.6 x 5.3cm
Floral Oval: 2.90 x 3.90 in. 7.4 x 9.9cm
Oval Insert: 3.15 x 4.15 in. 8.0 x 10.5cm
Crest: 4.70 x 6.35 in. 11.9 x 16.1cm
Crest Frame: 4.9 x 6.65 in. 12.4 x 16.9cm

For my card design I cut the crest, floral insert and oval tag from ivory card
and the oval insert and a further tag from gold mirror card.

My card base with Anna Griffin paper.

I used Cinch and Go Flowers Two for an embellishment, cut from pink card
and inked lightly.  I layered the tag and stamped 'Thanks'.

The finished card - these dies are both beautiful and regal.
I also see a fairytale mirror frame with this design.

Victoriana Crest is one of Becca Feeken designs -
Amazing Paper Grace and is available on the website here
and Cinch and Go Flowers Two is available here.

It's a special day today - Elliott's 21st!
We've got a few nice things planned over the weekend
including a barbecue so fingers crossed for nice weather and grateful to
my family for stepping in and helping out while I've been out of action.

Take care friends, have a lovely weekend.

Isadora and Francesca

Hello friends

Firstly I hope you all had a good weekend - not everyone was crafting I hear,
allotments, shopping, Build A Bear and more - all sounds fun.
And Hazel - I agree the die I featured yesterday - Emmeline Treillage
would make a lovely stencil to spritz inks through,
I may be giving that a go.

Secondly, big thanks to those who donated to the Just Giving page
yesterday, Elliott and his friends did very well raising money for
Macmillan Cancer Research, he's a very tired boy today though.

Today's crafty project features Isadora Trinkets and
Francesca Label.
I've designed this card as one of the projects for a workshop that I am teaching at

If you live Farnborough way and would like to attend I'll be doing a workshop
in the morning and a demo in the afternoon.
Details will be on The Art of Craft website shortly or feel free to contact
them if you wish to book the workshop.

My card is 5 x 5 square with matting, Franscesa Label stamped
and layered Isadora Trinkets.
The flowers are from Swallow and Heart die set.

Take care friends, wishing you all a great start to the week.

Emmeline Treillage

Hello friends

Today I'm featuring Emmeline Treillage (yes, that's a mouthful isn't it!)
It is a beautiful die, again one from Becca Feeken's Venise Lace collection.

I created this card to appear on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog here,
so if you would like to see a full tutorial please hop over to their blog
and by all means, if you have time, leave a comment...please :)

It is a delicate die cut but so easy to affix with adhesive sheets.

The flower is Cinch and Go Flowers Two with some added glitter,
I adore the detailed leaves in this set.

I hope your weekend is going well - have you been crafting?

Don't forget over on the website free post and packing finishes
when the clock strikes midnight, just think of Cinderella!

Take care friends.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week's Friday Die Day features a gorgeous intricate die -
Designed by Becca Feeken - Venise Lace Collection.

The approximate measurements are:
Lace Embellishment: 2.30 x 2.00 in. 5.8 x 5.1cm
Center Insert: 2.85 x 2.85 in. 7.2 x 7.2cm
Frame: 5.10 x 5.10 in. 13.0 x 13.0cm

This is how it looks cut/embossed.

I then die cut it twice, once with white card and then silver foil card -
I did not emboss the silver as it is going to be used for shadowing behind.

I matted patterned paper (Bo Bunny) onto 6 x 6 card base.

I die cut two of the lace embellishments and used a stamped and die cut sentiment,
leaf and paper flower.

The frame with silver shadowing behind mounted with 3D Foam Squares.

I inserted the lace embellishments to top and bottom aligning the top of the hearts to point
towards each other.  Sentiment tag added across the middle.

To finish I added the flower and foliage.

Isabella Frame is available on the website here, a lot of the Venise Lace
stock has sold quickly but more is on its way so please keep checking back.

Wishing you all a great weekend.
Take care friends.
