Friday Die Day

Hello friends

Still battling with photographing inside the cabin so the first few photos are not perfect but
the finishing ones are not too shabby!
I will get there - investing in some natural light lamps.

Today's FDD is Window One

This is how it looks cut/embossed.
The measurements are:  2¼ x 3⅜”

It's a card this week and I've chosen a piece of Canvas Corp patterned
paper with a kraft card background.  A stamped sentiment to the bottom section.
I've then inserted Sprigs behind the left hand section of the window frame.
I went on to trim away some of the stem and leaves.
I added small flowers and gem stones, red to lighten everything up.
These photos are much better too! Can't beat natural light.
A couple of close up shots.
I raised the window using small 3D Foam Squares.
Window One is currently on sale in the website shop here.
Also check out other dies, there are a few special offers going on :)

While I'm away Elliott is in charge of dispatching website orders, he will do a grand job I'm sure
but still feel free to email any queries, I'm able to pick those up in Phoenix and reply.

Have a lovely weekend - I'm creating, blog scheduling, packing, planning and possibly
panicking because there isn't enough hours in a weekend!

Take care friends.

And another winner!

Hello friends

Today announcing the winner of the We Love Adhesive Kit,
(I'm getting organised before I go away!)
Congratulations to...... VALERIE HARRISON
I have your address Valerie so I will make sure the kit gets sent out to you today.

I said a final goodbye to the shop yesterday, it looked very stark and empty when I walked
away and locked the door.

I am so grateful I have my lovely cabin
otherwise it could have been a whole lot more emotional!
I have lots of fond memories of my time in the shop and the fun classes that were held there.
Truly grateful to all the friends I have made.
I'm now focusing and embracing my next opportunity

Back in my cabin yesterday afternoon I made a start on the gifts that I am
taking out to Arizona.  I'm not going to show you the complete project just yet -
but here is a little tease!

Foliage is featured along with jingle bells and let's just say the item wrapped up is
festive and calorific!

Take care friends and stop by tomorrow for Friday Die Day.

Winners on a Wednesday!

Hello friends

Firstly let me announce the two winners of Make Christmas Cards magazine.

Diane (Keep For Ever Cards) and
Crafty Chris (Chris's Ramblings)

Congratulations!
If you could drop me an email - hope-chances@live.co.uk
including your postal address please and your magazines will wing their way to you.

One of the projects I made with the retailers at the CHA UK event last Sunday
was a chocolate wrapper - not any ol' chocolate - it was Hershey chocolate
kindly brought over by Spellbinders.
We thought it would be good to have an American touch.
There were three projects in total and each one had to be completed in 30 minutes,
so I had to come up with something that was pretty simple but effective.
This wrapper uses Holiday Greetings, a useful and different die in that you use
the negative/silhouette, the fall out pieces are lovely too.
The snowflake 'tag' and the little pieces inserted at the edges of the wrapper
are Snowflake Bliss - I'm just a little bit in love with this snowflake set,
it is so beautiful and traditional.
Both die sets are available in the website shop, just click on the links.
A few more Christmas bargains been added too.

Yesterday's Bella walk was across the fields and the birds were swooping and flying
like mad things!  Look at that glorious blue sky, so nice after all the recent rain.
Take care friends and keep all your pets safe tonight,
fireworks have been going off all week where I live, Bella is super-glued to my lap!

Rush Rush Rush!

Hello friends

I had an amazing time in Coventry at the CHA UK Retailer Training event,
I met lots of lovely people and had fun teaching 5 classes.
It was also great to spend time with Dave, VP of Sales from Spellbinders
and learn more about my new role.
One of the things I can now tell you is that next Monday I'm off to Arizona!
I'm spending time in Phoenix with everyone including the Design Team -
I feel so lucky to be heading to the sunshine!

So, before next Monday I have quite a lot to do, firstly the shop isn't quite empty
so quite a few trips tomorrow to finally remove all the items.
The cabin is a good size but it really cannot hold everything so please hop over to the
website to see some great discounts on Christmas dies!
I also think I ought to stock up the freezer, my boys have a huge appetite!

Today's crafty project is a card I've just made for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
All the details are on their blog here and yes, it's that time when I ask you to hop over
and leave a comment if you can please (read further and it may persuade you!)
The card features 3D Foam Pennants, Stars Five and the little wooden heart is
To create the card I used a We-Love Adhesive Kit, it contains
all the sticky essentials you need.
I have one of these kits to give away so please leave a comment on the Crafty Power Blog
here and I will be sure to pick out a winner before I go away.

Take care friends, apologies for the erratic blogging - I'm getting to grips with the new
computer but everything is taking a little longer.

A Crafty Space

Hello friends

Today I'm featuring Frances Kitchen's crafty space.
Be prepared - Frances is super organised and her die storage is to...die for!

This what Frances has to say:

"I like to clear away after each project. A place for everything and everything in its place.
I am a very impressionable crafter and like to try all the different types of paper crafting."

"I can have times of buying crafting products (another favourite thing!) rather than making things.
So have lots of nice surprises when looking for an element for a project of things I have
forgotten about."
"I have a crafty partner in crime, my gorgeous granddaughter Ella.
Our favourite things to do together are paper craft and baking."
And this is Frances' amazing die storage....WOW!
I love the idea that everything is to hand, this way you cannot forget what dies you have.

Thank you so much Frances for sharing your lovely crafty space with us,
I know I still have a few more to share - you are not forgotten, I'm retrieving those emails
via a different route now my computer is truly poorly, hadn't realised quite how much was on it!

Take care friends - I'm back tomorrow.

Festive Giveaway!

Hello friends

1st November - wow time really is speeding by!
November and December are favourite months of mine so look out
for lots of news and projects - I'm intending to spend a lot of time creating in my cabin!

As I head off to Coventry I thought I would leave you all with a giveaway.
I have two copies of the Make Christmas Cards magazines up for grabs.
You get a total of 245 pieces with the magazine, all listed below - can't be bad!

I created quite a few projects using the goodies inside including the ones
featured below....
(there are more projects  but the images are stuck on my poorly computer and I cannot access them!)
A new PC is on it's way - I finally made a decision.
Goodness it was hard, there is so much to consider and I'm not a huge fan of Windows 8 -
well basically not a huge fan of learning anything new and technical!

Enjoy your weekend and I hope to be posting on Facebook from Coventry and I will
be sure to share on my blog too.

Take care friends.
