Christmas Wall Hanger by Carole

Hello everyone

Today Angel Carole is back with a brilliant idea using the
Etched Alphabet die set.

A glittery wall hanger spelling out the word Christmas.

Here you can see the addition of snowflakes and alphabet.

Carole is sharing with us her thoughts on making her projects.

When I had the idea for this project, I didn’t even consider
how tricky it might be to photograph it.
Maybe I should have done!
I’m really pleased with the end result of this,
but don’t feel the pictures do it justice.

I tried to make each snowflake individual, so had to send to
Elliott for an emergency snowflake die order!
I used one 12x12 sheet of glitter paper and the silver lame ribbon
came from John Lewis.
I used foam tape in between each layer so there’s a nice 3D effect
and added a few crystals for extra sparkle.

I attached my cards to the ribbon with the extra strong double sided tape
and used a curtain ring with a clip at the top – also from John Lewis.

Happy crafting! C : ) xx

Ingredients used:

Etched Alphabet
Create A Flake Three (although Create A Flake Six would also work!)
Matting Basics - Squares
Variety of cardstock
Etched Alphabet is still in the mad sale!
And please check out the other products used - just click on the names
to take you there.

Thank you Carole, you can read more about Carole and visit her blog here.

Back with more inspiration very soon.

You Mean The World To Me

Hi everyone

Pleased to have Yvonne van de Grijp as a guest on my blog today.
Yvonne is a Spellbinders Ambassador for the Netherlands.

Yvonne has created a beautiful card using one of the Spellbinders card front dies

And Yvonne has kindly provided all the instructions too!
Materials:
Cardstock: white, silver, Satin bow, washi tape (or removable tape), silver inkpad or silver pen Distress inkpads: Shabby Shutters, Tumbled Glass, Mustard Seed, Ink Blending tool Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: 3D foam squares, Crafty Power Tape
Instructions:
  1. Stack both You Mean the World dies and use removable tape for exact positioning of the dies.
  2. Ink the debossed parts of the die with silver ink.
  3. Cut/emboss from white cardstock. Leave the dies on the paper and use silver ink for stencilling.
  4. Cut the text "world" from a piece of silver cardstock and glue the the die-cut text onto the card.
  5. I made the coloured background myself using distress ink and an ink blending tool, but you can also use patterned paper.
  6. Glue the die-cut upon the coloured background using 3D foam squares.
  7. Mat upon silver cardstock and a white cardbase.
  8. Add a satin bow.

Thank you Yvonne and keep visiting, Yvonne will have more
projects to share with us soon.

You Mean The World To Me is available on the website here.

The 25th by Rachel

Hello everyone

Angel Rachel is here today with another great idea using the
Holiday Greetings die and also incorporating Victorian Numbers.

Holiday Greetings is a solid card front die that can be used as
a whole stencil-like design or just using the fall out pieces works perfectly
for creating too.

Victorian Numbers is a 13 piece die set, along with the numbers
there are also useful symbols and punctuation.

Rachel has matted green decorative card onto a card base,
cut Holiday Greetings from kraft card,
wrapped twine around, added Lacey Circles and Victorian Numbers.

 The Victorian Numbers coordinate beautifully.

Ingredients used:

Lacey Circles
White, red, kraft card and green patterned card
Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn and Fired Brick
Baker's twine
Corner rounder punch
3D Foam Squares
 Crafty Power Tape

Today sharing a project by
Angel Teresa who has been using Victorian Letters.

These are lovely letters with a deep patterned embossed.
The set also include punctuation, very useful -
a total of 29 dies in the set!

Teresa made a bargain purchase with these cubes and has
been waiting to decorate them.
She has combined 6 x 6 Matting Basics for
the side panels and then added the Victorian Letters.

This idea would work really well with the word NOEL for Christmas cubes.

As usual, just click on the die names to take you to the dies on the website.

Ingredients used:

6 x 6 Matting Basics
Victorian Letters
Brown cardstock
Patterned papers

Thank you Teresa and please check out Teresa's blog here.

Back with an offer!

Hi everyone

If you read Mum's blog you probably know she's been away at
the NEC Birmingham demonstrating Spellbinders.

She said the most popular item was definitely the Platinum machine,
all visitors to the show got a chance to see other machines
demonstrated but were definitely favouring the Platinum.
Not surprising with its solid steel core construction and
that you can cut up to 8 layers in a single pass.

Also when used with the range of Contour Steel Rule Dies you can cut through
thin to thick materials from fabric to metal and balsa wood.

And when the machine is folded it's only a fraction larger than the Grand Calibur.

Right now on the website the Platinum is on very special offer
and don't forget it is free postage too.

larger plates, magnetic platform and of course the

Take a look!

All the best.
