Chicken Soup - Recipe 30

Tickets please!
This is Chicken Soup's inspiration picture for this week,
tickets seem to be all the rave especially since Mr Holtz produced a fab die and stamp set,
which brings me neatly on to what I used in my creation...

Join in and enjoy - for these dull grey days it's just the ticket!

Best News Ever!

I want to tell you all some news... I'm super thrilled, excited and walking round in a bit of a daze because...I'm on the Spellbinders Design Team!

I got a phone call near midnight on Monday to confirm that I had got through and I shall be jetting off to Arizona in April to see the home of Spellbinders and partake in lots of workshops and fun!

I want to thank all my lovely friends and family for being so supportive and having faith in me
(you see I've talked about this quite a bit!)
So celebrating was order of the day and we decided on this...

Posh eh!
And I would like to share with you my layout that I submitted for Round 2

Anyone that knows me will tell you how much I adore Fancy Pants - Roadshow papers
and I love them even more now!

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday!

'Spot the Cat' is getting ridiculous now - I encourage them to hide but they just love posing!
Under all that feline fluffiness is a Big Shot!
See those flowers - they are now in their third week - they refuse to wilt.

Thank you for your comments last week, to answer a few questions:
my pink butterfly folders came from Morrisons
and no prizes for 'Spot the Cat' because they make it too easy!
I am considering doing a 'catty competition' though
so any feline fans out there let me know if you would be interested.

Doesn't the desk look bare - had another good tidy up.
 But I have made this...
marmalade!
My first attempt and I used the recipe in this simple video. I cannot recommend it enough - delicious.
A huge success and I will definitely be making more.

Also this is Fluff - she seems to get left out of my WOYWW posts so I asked her to pose especially for you all...
Have a great week and come back soon.

ScrapFIT - Kick the Winter Blues

It's ScrapFIT time and the inspiration is 'Kick the Winter Blues' -
we need you to dig out fresh colours, green, yellow, orange, red and white and get creating.

I chose to do something a little different and decorated a tin can.
Firstly open the can, empty the contents and wash the can thoroughly.
Fill it with some nice treats - I chose chocolate buttons.
I then sealed back on the base using Ranger Glossy Accents and waited for it to
dry before decorating with Imaginisce papers.
It's a fun idea as whoever receives it has to open the can properly with an opener.

Join in the challenge - you have until 28th February to dig out those colours, have fun.

Valentine's Day

This will greet my boys this morning when I eventually persuade them to get up!
They will moan at me for 'being silly' but no doubt will still devour the sweets and chocolate.
(I get to keep the candles!)
Happy Valentine's Day!

Chicken Soup - Recipe 28

How about this for inspiration?
I adore these whitewashed shelves and the delicate flowery mugs and it inspired me to create this...
yet again I must be the biggest advocate for Fancy Pants - Roadshow papers!
Nip over to Chicken Soup - be inspired and join in the fun.

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday!

Spot the Cat this week is SO easy!
Imogen is back and overseeing my new idea for organising - pink folders (with butterflies of course).
I had so many sketch ideas, cut outs from craft magazines and Design Team paperwork I decided I had to file everything, I even used dividers - now I can lay my hands on everything I need.. well almost.
So what have I been making...
In my last post is a layout I created for Scrap Our Stash and a couple of posts back is a layout for ScrapFIT (links on my sidebar) - I do enjoy being on Design Teams - it makes me sit down and scrap with purpose!

Remember to visit Julia (yes, another link on my sidebar) to see all the other desks.
Have a good week and come back soon.

Scrap Our Stash Challenge - February - Love

I'm a Design Team member for Scrap Our Stash (link on my sidebar)
and this is my layout for February's challenge - Love.
I've used a heart as a mask and sprayed the kraft paper with Chalkboard White Glimmer Mist.
All the other papers are My Minds Eye - Be Loved.
Despite it being a photo of Elliott on the page I still could not resist adding a butterfly or two!
Join in the Challenge - it's fun!

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday!

Spot the cat!
(Darcy this week)

Hi everyone, Happy Wednesday to you all.
So many lovely comments last week, thank you
(although I know its the cats that get all the adulation!)

There is new stash evidence on my desk, a couple of pizza boxes.
This year I had set myself a monthly budget (mad eh!) but sometimes it is just a case of necessity!

What have I been making this week?
A quick jar of jelly beans speedily decorated as a gift
and lots more but frustratingly cannot show as it is DT work -
all will be revealed soon.

Have a good week everyone and come back soon.

ScrapFIT - Dream A Little Dream

Hello to all you lovely friends in Blogland.
Today I'm delighted to show you my first layout for ScrapFIT I'm lucky to be on their Design Team and the 'workout' was 'Dream A Little Dream'.
I went very English, very romantic and opted for my dream home.
For those of you who are eagle-eyed it is the cottage that featured in the film
'The Holiday'.
Sadly it isn't real! It was a fake building constructed in a field in Shere, Surrey.
After filming it was pulled down, it was purely made of wood and fibre-glass - pretty sad eh!
But my layout is real!
Using a stencil I shaped some kraft cardstock, positioned some snowflakes as a mask and spritzed with Tattered Angels White Chalkboard Mist.  The papers are Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather, topped with some die-cut hearts, flowers, tiny bunting and lettering - hey presto!

So how about joining in the workout? Zoom over to ScrapFIT for all the info -
there is a great prize up for grabs too from Lucky Girl Crafts -
take a little look at this!
