Hello friends
It is that time of the week when I take requests and show you a set of dies in more detail.
This week it is going to be....
This set has been designed by Samantha Walker and inspired by the bold patterns of the 1970s
(I knew I liked it for some reason!)
There are 6 flowers and 3 leaves die templates.
This is how they look cut/embossed and stencilled.
Apologies for the white squares at the bottom of the picture, I got carried away when cutting/embossing and accidentally picked up another die that was on my craft desk and included it!
It's tag time!
I believe I've shown this technique before, but for those new followers....
it's sliding the tag/cardstock through the die template to create a shaped bottom...!
It has created the embossing on the tag but I'm happy with that as I'm applying some patterned paper.
I've inked the edges and applied one of the leaves that looks just like a pea pod to me!
And then I started to layer up other elements and applied a small piece of ribbon with good advice!
It's a rather more geometrical design than my normal tags, no script stamping, lace or butterflies..
but I like it! Perhaps I'm discovering new crafty paths.
Have a brilliant weekend dear friends - I'm back tomorrow.
Take care.

Lovely my friend! This is one of my favorite dies sets of all time! Love it!
Hi Christine, this looks very hard to do, but when you explain it, it's so easy, thanks for that.

Hi Christine,
wonderful tutorial. Haven't got these dies, but some other die might do the same. Will have a go and see what turn out. Thank you for sharing. Have put some jewellery on my blog today that my sister makes. It's worth a look at if you get the time. Have a great crafty day everyone.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Morning Christine, I looooove this tag, I absolutely love how you have done the bottom of the tag with the die, I will definitely try this technique, I have never seen this technique before, it's brilliant. I love the backing paper too, it reminds me of 'dolly mixture' colours, simply beautiful. Lots of love from Patricia xx
This is a nice die set Christine, very 70's! Reminds me of a wallpaper my sister had with these sort of flower designs in bright orange and brown! I'm liking the shaping at the bottom, must give this technique a try. Have a great weekend everyone x

Yikes Christine, not a single butterfly in sight! But I love it all the same, those dies are so versatile. Thank you for the tutorial and the great inspiration as always, Crafty hugs, Anne x

I love making tags at the moment, but didn't think about this idea - why not? I'm off to have a play now. Thank you for sharing! Found you off Maria Simms Blog.

Great ideas today.... thank you Christine. I must try the tag thing.
Hi Christine
Love the shaped tag. If you didnt want to emboss the whole of it can you put your plates lower down so that the die is not in the "action area"

Love today's die day...as usual! Gorgeous tag, crafty hugs, Carole Z X
HI Christine, Great Tag, I really must try some of these, I tend to veer towards making cards .... have a good bank holiday, perhaps I'll have time to pplay with my spellbinders - Lynn xx
Good morning or is it afternoon now,
Lovely Fri-die-day idea. I like this set of dies alot but haven't yet gotten around to buying it, must treat myself now that you have given me another reason to own it. This little leaf die is really perfect for the botton of dies and both of them would make beautiful edges for even smaller tags on cards too wouldn't they. Pretty little tag with a perfect sentiment. I think we all need to laugh more.
Have a great day Linda xx

Hello Christine, thanks for showing us the tag today, I always forget you can use the dies for this technique. Have just been watching some of your youtube clips, the one where you make the little gift bag from an envelope, WOW. I have hundreds of envelopes-guess what I am going to be playing with this weekend.

Hi Christine, Lovely idea you have come up with esp. this set of dies. Not a set that I've given much thought to, perhaps its something to do with my teens/twenties era, although I am warming to some retro designs.
I esp. like the ditsy paper you used as your base layer.
Crafty best wishes, Carolyn. x
I like your tag loads Christine. Such pretty paper and the 'pea-pod' looks great! Love the way the flower has come together.
Hugs to you Sue P xxx
Wahey to Friday Die Day!!
Hi Christine,
What a lovely way to use those dies, I must admit I have them and didn't have that vision. That will have me playing with them this weekend.
Ria
