Twinkle and more...

Hello friends

A festive die today from last year's Christmas launch and still
available this year as it has proved popular.
This die set enables you to die cut additional bulbs separately
so you can overlay them, they look very effective in foil card.

Twinkle Lights is available on the website here
and there's also a workshop kit available featuring this die set here
(the papers are slightly different in the kit but still feature lights).

Delighted to say that more stock arrived yesterday,
our best sellers are available again.
Amazing Paper Grace dies by Becca Feeken.
Hemstitch OvalsBella Rose Layering Frame,
Hannah Elise and Annabelle's Trousseau.

This is Becca's beautiful design using Bella Rose Layering Frame

She also creates a gift box from the Bella Rose die set.
Her full tutorial is here.

Please stop by tomorrow for Friday Die Day and it is going
to be December - yikes!!

Take care friends.

Just For You Box

Hello friends

A gift box today - Just For You Box.
This is one of the designs by Marisa Job

It's a 7 piece die set, the box itself, lettering, heart, flower, leaf set
and a smaller rectangle which is in fact a candy wrapper.

It does look very nice in purple.
For my project, I chose patterned paper and  lightly inked the edges.

This box die is perfect in that it gives you the fold lines and the tabs
to fold in and affix.
The flower is sweet, cut twice and layered it is very daisy-like.

The finished size is 1.5 x 3.25 x 5.0 inches,
a long narrow box and guess what... it is ideal for chocolates!

Just For You Box is a pre-order and arriving within the next day or two,
more details here.

Take care friends, I hope you are having a good start to the week.

Poinsettia and all things 3D

Hello friends

Revisiting one of my favourite 3D stamps today - Poinsettia.
For my card I simply stamped three times and used Chameleon pens to
lightly colour.  Mounted onto a black mat and white card base.

Typed and die cut sentiment added to the bottom of the card.
Sheets of festive sentiments are available on the website here.

Poinsettia stamp is in stock and available on the website here.

The 3D stamps are clever and so useful for speedy cards.
Quite a few are in the Black Friday sale too!

Talking of 3D...Elliott has made a recent purchase a 3D printer.
All part of his Uni course in Digital Media and Design.
I confess I didn't know much about these but I'm definitely learning now.

With special software and designing you can design and print plastic
3D items. Very techy, geeky and amazing.

Hope you are all having a good weekend,
bright and chilly here today, perfect dog walking weather.

Take care friends.

Pop your sunglasses on!

Hello friends

Yes, pop your sunglasses on, this might possibly be the
brightest card I've ever made!
This is Layers of Flowers and I went for a definite orange theme.
It was time to use up some of that coloured card languishing in the
bottom of my scrap box!
A clever die set consisting of three dies that layer up as panels.

The equally bright flower is made using

You can of course just create one panel like I did with this card -
silver, black and white. A gemstone added to the flower middles.

Both of these die sets -
are arriving within the next few days, tracking them right now.

Over on the website the Black Friday Sale is still ongoing, finishes midnight Sunday.
More items have been added so please take a look.

Keep warm today, it has turned very nippy here in the South East,
lovely and bright though...bit like my card!

Take care friends.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week's Friday Die Day is Tree.
I've mentioned this die a few times, it teams up with the new
seasonal canopies but using the die alone is also lovely.

This is how it looks cut/embossed.

I cut a piece of white card with 6 x 6 Matting Basics and added
Forest Moss distress ink.

Tree cut from white card and then coloured with Walnut Stain distress ink,
positioned over the green distress ink.

Stamped sentiment to corner and tied a twine bow.

I then cut multiple mini flowers and coloured them, again with distress ink.
These are from Swallow and Heart die set, available here.

Positioned randomly on the branches.

To finish, I matted onto a card base and little pearls added to flowers.

Such a simple die set but I could see it having many uses.
I like trees, they symbolise renewal and growth,
perfect for many occasions.

Tree is available on the website here.
The seasonal canopies I mentioned earlier can also be seen here.

Just in case you haven't seen it,
over on the website there is a Black Friday Sale, over 100 items!
All can be viewed here.

Take care friends,
have a lovely weekend.

Layers of Pink and Ivory

Hello friends

Today's card has layers!
Occasionally I add more to a card and this design inspired by Yana
who creates for Spellbinders enticed me to layer up.
It features the very pretty Marcheline Plume.

Starting with an ivory card base and added Anna Griffin patterned paper.
Firstly Hemstitch Rectangles, (back in stock soon)
the middle size cut and positioned horizontally.

Then Marcheline Plume, largest die cut affixed with foam pads to add depth.
The middle element (Spirograph!) cut and adhered to the centre.

Textured Flower added, cut from white watercolour card and coloured
with distress inks.  The sentiment is from one of the typed sheets
available on the website here.

Marcheline Plume is available on the website here,
Textured Flowers - a couple of sets of pre-loved available here but
I'm guessing they will go very quickly...

Take care friends.

Weekend Away and Winner

Hello friends

I'm back home after a wonderful weekend in the Cotswolds.
The weather was 50/50 but it is November and I've never known a dry birthday yet!
If you follow me on Facebook you will have seen my photos,
if not sharing here.  I went away with my crafty friends and
we stayed in the very lovely Three Ways Hotel, Mickleton
 for a chocolate themed weekend.

I had the big surprise of my room being totally chocolate themed,
I slept in a box of chocolates!

The door was cleverly painted to look like a chocolate bar.

Even the bathroom tiles and toiletries were themed.

We took a trip to Broadway to look around the gifty shops.
I adore the quaintness of the Cotswold villages.

We put our glad rags on in the evening for a very nice meal.

The following morning we went on a chocolate themed car treasure hunt,
back to the hotel for a hot chocolate and a cookery class,
chocolate truffles, mousse and pudding!
I intend to try out the recipes so will be sharing those.

Today is my actual birthday, I'm dodging the rain to do a little bit of
shopping and spend the evening with all my family.

Now crafty stuff...did you purchase a November Charity Kit?
This was the Note Holder kit.
If so it is time to check to see if you have the winning ticket.

And it is....

If you have the winning number please email me at
christine.emberson@blueyonder.co.uk
and I'll send out your bag of goodies.

Note Holder die is due back in stock again soon, these sell fast!
If you missed this kit it is still available to purchase on the website here.

Take care friends, have a brilliant start to the week.
