It's a new Hope and Charm-ing collection...

Hello friends

It had to be done!  That silly season is nearly upon us ...Christmas!
I visited the garden centre recently and discovered it is all Chrismassy.
So joining in with the crimble mayhem I've put this
charm collection together, it is a mix of traditional, fun and cute -
it's Festive Fun!

I incorporated quite a few snowflakes as they are so useful for
many projects.  All the charms are held safely in a themed linen bag
with a printed die cut tag.

Festive Fun is available to purchase on the website here.
Also, previous charm bags are currently on offer so if you missed any
or would like to purchase more you might like to take a look.

The charms also make brilliant gifts, perhaps create a key-ring or handbag charm.
The Charm-ing Additions to facilitate these are also available here.

Also, if you pop over to the website there's £5 bargains to be had.
Dies, stamp and die sets and Cut and Emboss Folders,
all to be found in the Bargain Basement.

Thank you for all the nice messages re: my bathroom,
I'm pleased to say it is really coming together now, tiles are on the wall
which has made a world of difference.
Still the flooring and painting to be done but I'm imagining it finished now
as opposed to a building site!

Take care friends, hope you have a charming day!

Congratulations!

Hello friends

No Friday Die Day this week as time definitely got away from me.
I should be back on schedule soon - fingers crossed.
Instead I'm sharing a Congratulations card using one of the
Glimmer Hot Foil Plates...aptly called Congratulations

I started by foiling the word onto ivory cardstock.
I then went searching for paper that also had some gold foiling for the
top panel, I found some in my scrap box.
On the top and bottom edge of the ivory card I placed a strip of gold foil card
to create a nice edge and because you can't have enough gold!

The finishing touch is the gold gemstones, as usual the placement of these
takes longer than making the card itself!
It really is such a simple card but with the gold it takes on a bit of luxury.

Over on the website for a limited time there's 10% off all
it includes the Deep Sea Die Cutting machine too!
Just use the code JANE10 at checkout.

Take care friends, wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Black, white and gold thank you

Hello friends

Today's crafty offering is black, white with a touch of gold.
I've used an ivory card base, black card matting
and a geometric design paper.
Before mounting the gold foiled Thank You, I placed behind
a trimmed die cut, it teamed with the gold nicely

Loving this jaunty font!

My little house is topsy turvy at the moment with the bathroom being done.
The search for pipes has meant pulling up floorboards in the
bedrooms too, I'm looking at it as an opportunity to have a spring clean,
the boys do not agree!
Forgive me if blog posts are a little erratic whilst my building
works are going on :)

Take care friends, please stop by tomorrow,
it's Wednesday giveaway.

A little wallet

Hello friends

Today's project is a little wallet I created for the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
No actual dies were used in the making of this project!

What I did use was a lot of adhesive products including the
3D Foam Circles which I'm using more and more.
I find the shape far better on a lot of embellishments.

It was fun to try out these papers, I didn't use a huge amount
so I could easily make more wallets and also make a pocket for
gift cards.

Further details are here and if you have time to leave a comment
on the Scrapbook Adhesive's blog it makes me and them
very happy! :)

Oh yes, I must mention...there's 10% off all Glimmer items on the website
this weekend, just enter the code GLIMMER10 on the shopping cart
page and the discount is applied, it is for hot foil plates, machine and foils!

Heading out this morning to pick up some more DIY bits,
my home is a dust bowl at the moment from the bathroom being done.
The builders have placed plastic on the stairs which has proved
quite baffling to Bella and the cats (humorous to us!)

Take care friends, enjoy your weekend.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week's Friday Die Day is snowflakes...or is it?
Collection dies designed by Becca Feeken.
There are 4 snowflake designs in the set.

Approximate measurements are:

Small Snowflake: 1.85 x 1.85 in 4.70 x 4.70 cm
Medium Snowflake: 2.00 x 2.00 in 5.10 x 5.10 cm
Large Snowflake: 2.50 x 2.40 in 6.40 x 6.10 cm
Extra Large Snowflake: 3.00 x 3.10 in 7.60 x 7.90 cm

I've chosen to use just one,
the large snowflake and cut it multiple times
from pastel cardstock.

I then went very square!
A 6 x 6 card base with two mats of jade and ivory,
then using Classic Squares created smaller
matted squares in a grid pattern.

Alternating the colours of the snowflakes affixed each one in place
with a 3D Foam Circle.

Finishing touch, little leaves and flowers (of course!)
and a stamped tag sentiment.
So not a Christmas card at all!

The Charming Christmas Collection is available on the website here.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend,
I'm heading to St Margaret's Bay in Kent on Sunday for a day out
and in between avoiding the building dust at home!

Take care friends.

Butterfly Thinking of You and a little damp...

Hello friends

Back to a bit of foiling today and this is Faux Script Thinking of You.
I'm trying to ignore the change in the weather and think of
Spring and butterflies!
Teaming the gold with merlot card adds a nice richness
(and I'm not just thinking of wine...!)

Adding the gold foil card mat sets off the foiling too,
something I adopted very quickly with these cards.
Thinking of You hot foil plate is one of Paul Antonio's designs,
I've seen him colour the open areas of the font and it looks very effective.

You know that weather I mentioned earlier...
this was yesterday's walk with Bella,
we were both very curly haired and damp on our return!

Take care friends,
remember to stop by tomorrow for the giveaway day.

Deviating...

Hello friends

How is your weekend going?
I must say mine isn't quite going to plan but life is like that sometimes!
I was due to have my bathroom roof fixed yesterday, lifting a few
tiles, replacing the felt and hey pretso done.  But that didn't quite happen,
turns out the roof was really bad so it all had to be replaced.
So as my parents used to say 'it's bread and dripping for a while'!
(Does anyone else say that?)

Today's post is very different for me,
it's a mixed media tag created at the retreat I attended recently.
I'm really noticing that mixed media is taking off again
here in the UK, is it your cup of tea?

To be fair mine isn't very mixed media, by other peoples'
standards I'm still keeping it relatively 'clean' but I did dabble
with stencils, pastes, paint and clay - that gold embellishment
was moulded and then gilded - I was craving gloves though! :)

The flowers are fussy cut but I would personally like die cut
ones on there for more dimension.
So its a work in progress aka I'll finish it possibly 2025!

Look out for an email today and on social media,
Mitchell is planning a website offer.

Enjoy your Sunday, it's rain in Kent today but very humid,
I have to keep reminding myself it is October!

Take care friends.
