Nordic Tree, New Classics and Telly News

Hello friends

Hope you all had a good weekend, goodness isn't it cold.
Bella is keen to wear her jumpers when out walking and quite happy to keep one
on indoors too.
My lovely Dad has done the walking while I've been very busy creating in the cabin.
A bit of a newsy post today.

Firstly, thank you so much for making the second Hope and Charm-ing collection
a great success.  I really enjoy putting these together.
I'm currently sourcing charms for the next one which will be in a couple of months.

Second, today's crafting offering is Nordic Tree.
I've die cut in white card and used a variety of distress inks to colour.
It's very calming craft.

So maybe my sentiment is a little late - Happy New Year!
I'll be honest I was making up samples and this sentiment was just laying
on my craft desk, waste not.

Nordic Tree is on the website here, all the Folk Art dies are due in stock very soon
and available to pre-order here.

We have also taken delivery of the new Spellbinders Classics.
I'm loving these - each set has either scored and pierced edging,
scalloped and pierced or dot and dash design edging.
Makes matting extra special.

The full set of Classics can be seen on the website here and are in stock now.

Now to some telly news.
It's been just over a year since I last did 'my thing' and I'm delighted to say
I'm returning to tellyland.
This time it is Hochanda so new tellyland for me!

My first shows will be on 8th and 9th March and I'm thrilled,
hopefully you can tune in.

Wishing you all a great start to the week,

Hope and Charm-ing - the second collection

Hello friends

Just stopping by to tell you the second Hope and Charm-ing collection
is now available on the website.
This time the collection is Florals.
Who can resist flowers?

If you missed the first one (which sold out very fast)
I'll just explain what Hope and Charm-ing is all about....

It is a collection of charms with a theme.
This second collection is Florals and contains a minimum of 30 beautiful
embellishment charms made from a mix of antique silver and bronze.
Also included is glass cabochons and wooden embellishments.

Why charms?

I've always enjoyed adding little charms and embellishments to my projects
but get frustrated with poor quality.
So since last year I've been sourcing high quality charms.

Why a theme?

So maybe I'm a little OCD... I thought it would be nice to have
the charms in themed bags, that way easier to locate when making projects.
I also fell in love with these linen bags and decided every bag should
coordinate with the contents.
If you purchased the first collection you'll know the bag comes with a little printed
tag too that details the name of the collection.

For more details please pop over to the website
and see the Floral collection here.

The third collection will be available in a couple of months,
there will be 6 collections a year.

Take care friends - have a lovely weekend.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week for Friday Die Day I'm featuring Kurbits.
This is a one piece Die D-Lite die set designed by Lene Lok for Spellbinders.
The approximate measurements are:
2.60 x 4.00 in. 6.60 x 10.20 cm
This is how it looks cut/embossed.

I've cut it again in green and then in red, trimmed the red
so that I have the two central flowers.

I've mounted the green onto a black card mat and overlaid the red flowers.
You may be able to see that I've just tipped the edges with distress ink.

With a white gel pen I've gone around the edge with little dots.

Mounted onto a white card front and added a stamped sentiment (Altenew).

Simple and effective.

Kurbits is available on the website here, the delivery date says March
but they will most likely be in stock next week.

Have a lovely weekend, prepare yourselves for the really cold snap coming in,
just when I thought I could pop my mittens away...!
Take care friends.

List Addiction and Charity Kit Winning Number

Hello friends

My name is Christine and I'm addicted to...making lists!
I've probably admitted this addiction before but I confess it is getting
worse, I run two diaries, a weekly planner and a daily to-do list
and I'm not even going to tell you how many sticky notes I have everywhere!
The nice side of this condition is that I enjoy decorating notebooks
and this is one that I created for Scrapbook Adhesives by3L.
All the details are on their blog here.

These lined little pads come from Wilkos around 20p each - bargain.
I also like the addition of Photo Corners to projects, available in a variety of
colours on the website here.

Feel free to check out the full tutorial on their blog here and if you have time
leave a comment.

Now to announce the winning number from this month's charity kit.
There are still some available on the website here
featuring the very cute die set Camper Van.
Please have a rummage in your kit bags and see if you have this number...

If so, congratulations and please email me at hope-chances@live.co.uk
with your details and a goody bag will be on its way to you.

Take care friends and please stop by tomorrow for Friday Die Day.

A single bright flower and butterfly

Hello friends

I hope you are getting the sunshine where you are,
it has been lovely to open the curtains and finally see some brightness.
It means I feel I can share a Spring like project...

Today's card features Botanical Butterfly, this is one of the Flower
Garden Collection dies designed by Sharyn Sowell.

I chose to cut it from silver foil card, mount onto Hemstitch Rectangles.
Keeping the card neutral with grey and ivory I then added
a single bright flower - Cinch and Go Flowers III.

The patterned paper is from a 99p store paper pad (bargain!)
and then added one of my typed and die cut sentiments.

Items used today with clickable links:

Botanical Butterfly is available to pre-order here.

As mentioned heading to Birmingham today, I'm dosing myself up with
every cold remedy going - never a good time to get a cold but honestly
this is really bad timing!

Have a great Saturday and take care friends.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week's Friday Die Day features
Dimensional Floral Panel, this is one of the Flower Garden Collection
dies designed by Sharyn Sowell.

It is a 5 piece die set and the approximate measurements are as follows:

Frame: 3.65 x 5.00 in. 9.20 x 12.70 cm
Bow: 1.20 x 1.65 in. 3.00 x 4.20 cm
Medium Leaf: 0.50 x 0.75 in. 1.20 x 1.90 cm
Small Flower: 0.61 x 0.70 in. 1.60 x 1.70 cm
Small Leaf: 0.45 x 0.60 in. 1.10 x 1.50 cm
Large Flower: 1.10 x 1.10 in. 2.80 x 2.70 cm

This is how each piece looks cut/embossed.

I decided to use all the white pieces and add distress inks.

I die cut additional flowers and leaves and coloured again with distress inks.

Mounted the yellow ribbon and large flower to the top.

Added more flowers and leaves.

Stamped a sentiment onto a white 5 x 7 card mat and affixed
the floral panel with 3D Foam Squares.

Added a further 5 x 7 pink patterned paper mat and mounted onto a
white card front.
The finished card.

Loving all the detail, especially the veins on the little leaves.

Dimensional Floral Panel is now in stock on the website here.
We've taken delivery of quite a few items earlier than expected,
some of the new Die D-Lites have arrived too and
the Elegant 3D Vignette Collection is flying out the door.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, I'm off to Birmingham for the
Stitches trade show, I shall be demoing my heart out for 3 days!

Take care friends.
