Felt Rose Creations

Hello friends,
Did I ever mention how much I like cutting felt?? Only about a zillion times I think!
I promise you it is brilliant, I purchased this felt in my little market in town, it was only about 30p per square and the texture is lovely.  I used it to create this card for TV last Saturday using the lovely Rose Creations
I used one of the embossing folders featured on the show, rubbed over the raised area with an embossing pad, sprinkled embossing powder and set with a heat gun.  You can see areas where it went over the edges but I like that, it adds a sort of distressed shading.
The lace has been sprayed with Cosmic Shimmer mist - that's another addiction right now!
It's very pink isn't it!
Photo A Day subject is 'Eight o'clock' - so this is the mantelpiece clock...and...
this is my weather station clock in the conservatory - I was a minute late!
I feel compelled to look at this weather station a lot, especially since the nights are drawing in already.
I'm always interested to see when full moon is happening - must be the werewolf in me!
I'm back tomorrow dear friends, I may finally have some news for you regarding classes -
I've been working on lots of ideas - typing, planning, creating!
Take care,

Hi Christine, I have tried to get felt (100 per cent wool) locally especially like the colours you have used but unfortunately have been unable to do so. Have resorted to the Internet but the colours are very drab. Need to venture out to Edinburgh and search. Your felt flowers look so lovely as does your card.

Hi Christine, I love your card and the felt flowers are so beautiful, I haven't tried using felt yet, I will have to give it a try. I think I will have the same problem as the other postees as in my town you can't buy fabric even anymore, all those shops have gone and the market is simply food oriented, I will have to travel further afield. I like your mantle clock, I have a 'thing' for clocks, I have lots around the house ha ha. Lots of love from Patricia xx

I haven't worked in felt for so many years I shudder to think how long. These flowers look great though. Love the pink lace! I must admit to changing the coloursd of things, particularly lace and flowers.

Morning Christine, the card is pretty and the colours too. I have not tried felt although I did buy some a while ago, will fish it out and have a play. I think the flowers go great with the embossing pattern.
Looking forward to hearing your news tomorrow.

Hi Christine,
really beautiful card today. I though I heard you say about misting the colour of the lace on your program. It looks really fab coloured. Now to your clock picture, my hubby collects and repairs old clocks for his hobby. I must send you picture some time of all the clocks in line on the shelf above his desk. Have a great crafty day everyone.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L

Good Morning Christine
Lovely card, the flowers are fab. Can i ask tho as ive tried cutting felt several times with spellbinders and on flowers it doens't cut well, i normally have to tidy up the edges and finish cutting it in places. On the labels it cuts fine. Am i doing something wrong?

Hi Christine, I think you have mentioned your love of felt a couple of times....lol. I saw this card on the show but it looks much more beautiful when you can see it close up, I love the pink lace, such a good idea. We have a weather station too and I get a temperature check every morning with a cup of tea....I am bit obsessed with the moon but I blame it on being a Cancerian. Crafty hugs, Anne x

Hi Christine, I LOVE your card..I've used felt as well but been a bit hit and miss cos not 100% wool. I often use Promarkers to colour my ribbon if I haven't got the right shade..:) Have a great day..:)..xx

Love the flowers I did some bitty blossom flowers in felt yesterday - came out really well. Got the felt from the kids section of local craft superstore if that helps anyone!

I love your card Christine - still haven't been into town yet to get my felt (having mobility probs right now). The colours are so pretty and bright. I'm a tinker for changing the colours of my embellishments.

My hubby has one of those weather 'thingies' - he loves it! I am more interested in the moon myself - I'm with Redanne on this one, think it's also because I am a cancerian. Hey ho!

Hi Christine, Beautiful card, doesnt the embossing folder and lace compliment the felt flowers, got the dies and the felt, must get the embossing folder.
For those who are struggling to find felt, there are two good online shops 1)www.sewinspring.co.uk and www.bloominfelt.co.uk Lots and lots of colours some 100percent wool others with a little less.
Must admit, I have been getting mine from our local sewing shop in Stratford upon Avon. Look forward to your workshop plans Christine. B.W. Carolyn. x
