Happy Day and a Weekend Class!

Hello friends
So quite a lot to read today...have you got your tea/coffee to hand?!

Happy Day indeed yesterday - the launch of my very first craft class.
Thank you all for the wonderful comments.
I've taken on board the request for a weekend workshop.  In fact, I have planned one!
All the details are posted below.

If any of you have problems reading the PDF of the classes, please drop me an email - christine.emberson@blueyonder.co.uk and I will happily send the details straight to your inbox.

Next - the dilemma of felt - 100% wool or not?
Well, I must admit I buy a wool blend, I make sure it isn't too thick and this cuts very well.
It is the sort of felt that you find in Hobbycraft, The Range and my little market!
If any of you are struggling to locate some, please let me know and I will see if I can arrange to
order and distribute some.
You ALL have to try cutting felt - it is my crafty mission!

Today's card had just popped up in the Spellbinders Idea Gallery,
I created this aperture card using the beautiful Spectacular Spin -
all the details can be found here.
These are amazing dies, something very satisfying about folding each section, reminds me of Spirograph!
Today's Photo A Day subject is 'Messy'
I discovered a photo of where I used to craft (before my crafty studio).
I was always short of space and it did indeed become...very messy!

Now for that weekend class....
Thank you to you all for your support - I treasure all my follower friends.

Hi Christine, these cut and fold dies are great gives a dramatic look to the card. Thanks on info on felt I usually use 100 percent wool felt but will now try a wool mix. You are tempting me with the weekend workshop and I only wish the finances could stretch to a weekend away, a lottery win would help, just a little one.

Hi Christine, I love these dies, they are still on my wish list...you're weekend is very tempting but not possible for me at the moment, maybe next year! I use the mixed felt too and find it works well. The wool felt is even better, but quite expensive and dull colours, I do so love using felt! Carole Z X

Hi Christine your card is beautiful, the pearls and two little butterflies just set it off a treat.

I love your home messy picture ,if only we had more space we would be less messy ,well thats my excuse and im sticking to it .

Im sure your weekend workshops will do well .

Hi Christine, I love your card today, I love all the cut, fold, tuck, dies, they are beautiful. I love how you have cut the aperture with the die, then placed the spinner in the aperture, very clever, it's lovely. Had to chuckle at your 'messy' piccie before you had the studio, that is 'tidy' compared to my spare room aka craft room, I think I need a studio ha ha !! Lots of love from Patricia xx

Hi Christine

Love the idea of a weekend workshop and love the card that you have done

Your messy bit looks like mine. I did start to tidy it up last night but had a power cut and it was getting dark and when the lights came on again I wasnt in the mood for clearing!!!

Hi Christine, only you could think that your room is messy, all I can say is I wish mine was as 'messy' as yours! I use a mix of felt only because the colours are nicer that 100% wool and I think it is slightly thinner too. I love it too. The cut and fold dies does remind me of spirograph too and your card is gorgeous, as ever. Once I get my op out of the way and can travel I will definitely come to one of your classes, my Son lives south of the M20 so it is not to far away, will have to link up a visit to him and to you. Hope your classes go well in the meantime. Crafty hugs, Anne x

Hi Christine, Was thrilled to find out that you plan a craft week end, keeping fingers crossed I can work a plan to attend.
Love the card today, I've not convinced myself that I need these type of dies yet. I rec'd my Petal Top box die today that I ordered during your C & C week end show. Must admit I had a play as soon as I opened it! We just cant help ourselves can we!! Best wishes, Carolyn x.

Hi Christine, I m always mesmerised by these dies and how they look so diferent when using different colourways.
Like other bloggers I would definately love to come on one of your weekends, but because of standing commitments I could not manage this year.
