Hello friends,
Hope you all had an enjoyable weekend and kept cool if you were down in the South East like me.
It is the start of a brand new week - what do you have in store?
Today I'm sharing a card that I created for my Dad's birthday,
there seems to be a distinct shortage of ideas for male cards so hopefully this one will help.
I created this using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™ products and all the details are over on their blog.
Again, a favour to ask of you - if you have time to zip over there to leave a comment, I'm very grateful.
Using one of those brilliant Keepsake Envelopes..I'm going to be stocking those soon...
Other news...
I finally have a button on my blog where you can access classes that are available.
This button/link has been a real achievement following hours of frustration for myself and eldest son!
We thought we would be able to use the 'Spellbinders' tab button that is already there but unfortunately that wasn't to be, in fact that poor button is now redundant as we cannot seem to link it anywhere.
Since my blog revamp it doesn't seem to follow traditional blogger template rules!
But now, wonders of wonders, if you click on the photo on the right hand sidebar you will be able
to access a page that details classes - yippee!
It's amazing what things make us happy!
Happy Monday dear friends.

Hi Christine,
wonderful card. I know what you mean about male cards so hard to do and I never get a buzz from the finished card, as I do from a ladies. I also know what you mean about computers my hubby and I spent all afternoon till early evening trying to put my bought watermark on my card, for my blog today. The problem ended up being,I'm on a imac computer and it doesn't like the gimp. So he has to put the watermark on to my card on his computer through Linux system.
We got very frustrated to tell you the least, as you sound as if you did. Have a great crafty day everyone.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Hi Christine, You are right it is much harder to think of cards for men,but this one is really great. x.
Morning Christine, I absolutely love this card and I will be trying to re-create this one for a male friend's 70th birthday next month. I will be popping over via your link to leave a comment on their Blog also. The rain is pouring down here in Cheshire, but still so warm. Lots of love from Patricia xx
Hi Christine, what a lovely card for a man, who as we all know are so difficult to craft for. Glad you got sorted with the button! Carole Z X
good Morning Christine. Thats a really great "man" card. I must admit i struggle when it comes to making male cards and usually end up with some sports theme.
A lovely card Christine, any inspiration for male cards is always gratefully received ha ha! I wonder whether our male crafters have the same problem or not? Have a great day x
Lovely card Christine really like the background great for those awkward male cards xx hazel

Good morning Christine, I should think your dad was very pleased and proud of his birthday card, thank him that he shared it with us. Just tried your button for classes and it worked a treat.
Morning Christine
Stunning male card, great use of layering and colour. I love making male cards which is just as well as i have more males in the family then females.

Hi Christine,
This is one of my all time favourites from you! I love the styling the colours, it would be welcome by many a female as we as the men. Beautiful.
Isn't it wonderful when something goes right (at last) with blogger or the pc/laptop. They can be so frustrating and time consuming when they do play play up.
Hope you and everyone here has a fabulous Monday.
Big Hugs Linda xx
Really like this card Christine. I can see how it is good for the male species but I think would be just as good a card to send to a female (obviously not with DAD on) lol.
Loving the rustic colours Christine, Happy Birthday to your Dad!
This is fabulous Christine what a super card you’ve made I love all the details , loved the show you did the other day you do inspire me so
Great work
Well done Hugs Elaine
Hi Christine, I love this card. I was even given a box of wooden embellishments for my birthday, containing this exact bird. Now all I need is the gorgeous hessian heart.
Good news about the button. I find software so frustrating! I would love to set up my own blog to enter many of the exciting blog challenges, but it all seems too much at the moment. This is why I had been so grateful that you allow us to email gallery inspiration pieces.
Hi Christine - have just been reading your last few blogs and I love the tags - heavenly colours. I am a real fan of the butterfly die as well.
The card you made for your dad is really great - seems very fitting for his own creative talents. Love the colours and the dies/embellishments.
I was sorry that you lost your Aunt Sally recently but she sounds as if she was a lady who knew what she wanted and then did it! She should definitely be celebrated.

Hi Christine,
Love the card for your Dad, men are so difficult especially if they have no hobbies.
I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your aunt, lost my Mum this year she was 92 had a good life but its still hard.
I have been catching up with a weeks worth of blogs as I have been off line with a computer virus.
Loved die day with the butterflies.

Hi Christine,
I am very much a tag person closely followed by birds and bird cages so this tag is right up my street.
As you say, Male cards can be a problem and it is nice to see something different.
