An Altered Heart

Hello friends

As promised yesterday,  a little tutorial on altering a bargain wooden heart
available to buy from the Range - 89p!
There are also stars...
Firstly I added a tiny bit of white paint and wiped it off with a piece of kitchen towel,
just to lighten it a little more.
I then selected Classic Hearts and was delighted that the shape very much mirrored
the wooden heart.  The paper is Basic Grey and out of my odd box.
Next I opted for Snowflake Bliss and Layered Poinsettia - well, you knew I would!
The word 'Christmas' is die cut from Holiday Sentiments
It was then just a case of assembling the snowflake, poinsettia and adding Sprigs
It's definitely an adorned heart now!
A couple of close up shots - yes, I forgot to prick out one of the snowflake pieces!
A simple design because I've had the mad idea of making quite a few!
Most of these dies are available on the website, just click the links.

Hoping to bring you lots more tutorials and ideas from my cabin,
also videos - yes, I've been threatening them for ages and Elliott is on my case too!

Take care friends, I'm back tomorrow.

Hi Christine. This is so pretty and what a bargain from The Range. It's not a shop I'm familiar with but I'm back in the UK next weekend for a shopping trip-yeh- and I must see if there is one in Liverpool or Wirral.
Bye for now.
Love Val in Spain x

Love your heart and all the Christmas flakes and poinsettia .

I did a lovely Scrapbook layout Christine with the window die i got last week, put it in front of my granddaughters pic then adorned it with flowers under so it looked like a window box , i did get carried away with the flowers and other bits ,but aww it does look nice .

Take Care

Good morning Christine,
Wow that heart started off so dark and unappealing, you have transformed it into a thing of beauty, it looks like a'high end' Designer heart now worth ten times what you paid! The Range do have a few nice bits and pieces all at good prices too, unfortunately ours over 20 miles away!
I am so pleased you were thoroughly spoilt on your birthday, that cake looked yummy! Xx
Oh please get those video under way, it's so nice to follow somebody 'real time' to see how achieve the great results that you do. It's also nice to watch some tools in action, much clearer than following instructions! I look forward to those, come on Elliott!
I will go now and try to get some Christmas cards done for my Blog, I have been trying to post regularly and have done so for the last couple of weeks or so, so if you have time please drop by and leave me a comment, I love reading them.
Big Sunday Hugs to all,
Sandra xxxx

Lovely Christine. Unfortunately, no Range near me - but I'm sure the idea could be adapted.

I bought this heart as we are
going to a December wedding, I thought of making a wedding keepsake that they can put on their Christmas tree, so thank you for the ideas on how to decorate it. Very timely! JuliaT x
