Winners, Celebra'tions, Size Matters and More!

Hello friends

It's a newsy day!
Grab a cuppa...

Firstly announcing the winners of the leather effect card,
6 names have been picked out and you will all receive some buff and white
leather effect card and a couple of colours too.

Diane (Keep For Ever Cards)
Sandra Biggs
Jacquie (Jewels Card Craft)
Bejay Roles
Crafty Jo
Ginny C

Congratulations to the winners, just drop me an email with your address please
to: hope-chances@live.co.uk

Now...size matters!

Lesley mentioned on Tuesday that she often finds dies are not the size she expects
them to be.  I know this happens to lots of us.
What is really handy is that if you look up any die on the Spellbinders® website
it has the measurements - even for multiple die sets and little tiny ones.
For example, Floral Fence - it shows the dimensions at the bottom where I've placed an arrow.

I also try to list the measurements on my website under product details.
It does help to get an idea as to whether they will work on your projects.

Talking of my website...
Celebra'tion dies, stamps, folders and more are starting to arrive.

Please click here to see all the new loveliness!
More arriving all the time.

The felting kits on the website are in the sale!
I like to make room for more new goodies.
The robins are really nice especially if we are thinking about Christmas!
(Sorry probably way to early to mention that).
These are wonderful gifts and so easy to do, everything you need is in the box
with full clear to follow instructions.
Loving this dry weather right now, washing gets popped on the line first thing.
Also, down at the shop we have placed a little table and chairs outside.

This followed quite a few requests from husbands who bring along their wives and
said it would be nice to sit and wait in the sunshine...
(I probably should point out that this is just a bit of fun and not at all
detrimental to gentlemen crafters!)

Yes lots and lots of news today - hope you've read this far!
Take care friends - I'm back tomorrow.

Morning Christine
Firstly congratulations to all the winners.
Love the 'waiting' area. Have pointed the sign out to my hubby who comes looking for me after 5 minutes of walking through the door of a craft shop.
Looking forward to seeing all the new goodies on line.
Enjoy your day

Congrats to all the winners. I think the table & chairs are a great idea-add a newspaper and they may not notice how long they have been sat there!

Hi Christine. Congratulations to the lucky winners : ) It is always helpful to know the size of dies etc. and I must say that Sb's are very good at showing that. I do love that Robin, he is so cute. I wish more places would add a seat or two, such a good idea and like Michele says, add a newspaper and the men won't notice the time you spend in the shop then, or the £'s hopefully : ) Have a good day. Take care.

Good Morning Christine,
Congratulations to all of you lucky winners, there is nothing like that exciting feeling of reading your name, so uplifting!
I will pop over to the shop and have a look at new dies, exciting!,!!
Oh Christine I love the table and chair outside the shop, what a fab idea for bored husbands, mine likes to share the experience, he genuinely shows an interest, although I think that is his code for watching what I am spending, be nice to sit out on a sunny morning and have a coffee too!
I love you 'big news" blog posts Christine!
Big hugs to all

Morning Christine, congrats to the lucky winners. Love the seat for the gentlemen, i know one chap who would appreciate that! Sadly its heavy rain this morning but then it will do the crops good - as long as it doesn't stay long!! Hugs Emma

Thanks for the mention re sizes of dies. It seems to be easily forgotten, eg C&C don't give sizes, (or rarely) Same goes for other makes, where their stockists don't give them. Not your fault, but just a general niggle.

Great idea with the table & chairs for DHs.

You've certainly packed a lot in this post! Well done to the winners of that fab card. Wish I could just pop into your shop to buy some. I don't suppose it's economically viable postage wise for you to have on the website. Love the idea of providing seats outside. Nothing worse than someone looking over your shoulder when shopping - especially for crafty stuff!

Thanks for picking my name amongst the winners :) I saw your seating area posted on Facebook by Papermill - think it's a great idea and one that more establishments should adopt :)
