Friday Die Day

Hello friends
Friday Die Day!  Only one more till Christmas....yikes that feels too soon!
This week I am featuring Vintage Lace Motifs.
It's a very delicate pretty set and one of the long die templates just happens to look
like a wrapped sweet..perhaps that's just me, I see chocolate everywhere!
This is how they look cut/embossed.

The largest motif does have a solid middle but I chose to use one of the smaller
dies to cut out a shaped aperture.
Now I hope you are all sitting down because this week it is NOT a tag!
Shock or what!  Instead I've made a little festive card.
Onto cream cardstock I've adhered two designs of paper from GCD Studios - Paris Nights.
I then added a piece of lace along the join and two of the die cuts.

It needed a little bit of vintage twine....

And well...a festive card just isn't festive without a Layered Poinsettia
 A close up.
It is a very pretty die set which is useful for projects all year round.
It is available in my Amazon Shop along with quite a few more dies added
including Square Bracket Edge Box and Layered Poinsettia.

Yesterday I was asked about the felt that I use, I do not use a pure wool felt,
I use a regular felt that you can purchase in The Range or my town market!
I'm going to see whether I can stock some so I've added that to my 'to do' list.

Before I go - something else to share with you.  I've been sent details regarding a Christmas Card Competition called Christmas Card Craft Off - all the details are here.
It is run in conjunction with moneysupermarket.com and there is a chance to win prizes including an
iPad Mini and Hobbycraft vouchers.
You just need to make a Christmas card, feature it on your blog and send them an email with the info.
Good luck to any of you who decide to enter.
Have a wonderful weekend dear friends.
I'm back tomorrow.

Morning Christine, lovely card, i don't have these dies yet! I've found alcrylic felt cuts better than wool felt with spellbinders, but i did have to buy tons to find a type that works!! Emma
