A Rose

Hello friends
It is the weekend and I'm impatiently waiting for plastered ceilings to dry!
In between I still have lots of other work to do but I feel like I really should be wielding a paintbrush now.
Today's project is a scrapbook page featured in this month's edition of Scrapbook Magazine.
It is a sketch challenge, you start with this....
and end up with something like this!
I chose to turn the sketch around.
The papers are Authentique - Lively and are all quite busy with patterns.
I enjoyed creating a border/frame, distressing and inking.
I adore the brown birds on a branch paper.
I created the background from Grand Big Scalloped Circles and added Bitty Blossoms
and Foliage.  Classic Triple Scallop Edgeabilities in green patterned paper and
tiny little stickers are dotted here and there too.
Have a lovely weekend, be brilliant if it stopped raining -
I keep checking my toes to see if they webbed yet!
Take care friends.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas ?

Todays card has such pretty papers ,and i love the flowers

We could do with some sunshine to help dry your plaster Christine , im sitting here at 8.55 in the morning and its wet ,windy and so dark outside , you would think it was night time .

Morning Christine,
Love the papers you have used on your page they are very pretty.
Its so frustrating waiting for things to happen that are out of your control, at least its dry today which may help your plaster to dry.
Have a good day.

Hi Christine,
wonderful card. Just love those papers. Not been around so much over the Christmas period because of family commitments. I gather all is going well with the new shop. Can't wait to see the finished result.
I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas.
Have a wonderful crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Morning Christine,
What a good way to start a project - you could cut the shapes out of copy paper for see if it works, also could be used for card layouts.

Morning Christine, hehe we keep thinking we'll be growing flippers soon, they would go well with webbed feet!!! Still raining down here.
Fab 'scrap' page, love the papers, great colours and patterns. I don't suppose the wet weather is helping the plaster dry out, i hope it dries soon for you to wield that paint brush. Emma

Morning Christine

Lovely layout and can be adapted for card sizes too. Love how you have used it

No rain here today at the moment but its blowing a gale

Hope the plaster doesnt take too much longer to dry but you will have to be patient no point in painting wet plaster
