A 'Quick Makes' Card

Hello friends,
WOW so pleased you liked my red butterfly gift bag yesterday,
I got lots of comments and believe me I read each and every one - thank you so much.

Today a 'quick makes' card that is featured in Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine.
I always smile to myself with the word 'quick' because I have to tell you my creation process is fairly slow!
Once I've decided on the design I do speed up so it is fair to say that if you were copying this from the magazine it would be fairly quick.
The other thing I've discovered is that when I'm crafting my normal OCD neatness goes a little awry -
but I console myself with a comment I heard recently ....
"No chaos, no creation!"
So, back to the card - Rose Creations and Labels One are my feature.
Dividing the card with different papers, adding ribbon and layering.
Love this paper - Pebbles - Country Picnic Collection.
Oh yes...twine and tiny butterfly too!
Back tomorrow when I will be announcing the winner of the Lacy Ovals.
"Bella! Bella! Work to do!"
Take care friends.

Morning Christine, this is a pretty card. I too love the papers, where do you get them from?
I laughed when I read your comments about "No chaos, no creation..." you should see my work space sometimes, but it is satisfying clearing up afterwards.
You are quite right about copying from the magazine, if you are just following then it does make it quicker. As I mentioned in an earlier blog, I made 4 of your creations from the freebies on Sunday evening, it was quite quick and I really enjoyed it.
Have a lovely day.

Good morning Christine,
I love the papers that you've used and as for a quick card, mine never are as I spend so much time making sure that I've got the right papers and embellishments and of course, I change my mind while making it and spend even longer looking for somthing else before it's finished.
Have a great day

Morning Christine,
This is so pretty lovely papers and colour.

So right about no chaos no creation, my work space is very small so its utter chaos sometimes. but that's usually when I have enjoyed my creations the most.
Have a great day.

Good Morning Christine,
I love this card, beautiful, elegant and simple.
I start off tidy when making a card but then as I get further into the project I get more and more things out! By the time I have finished the dining room looks like we have been burgled! How can one job make so much mess! I love it though!

I,m with you - no chaos, no creation. A friend sent a text mid-morning asking for a wedding card at lunchtime! I need time to create (!!!) but I did it. Your card is so pretty Christine, fresh, clean and lovely.

Morning Christine

Another beautiful creation. I love the simple lines of it and might just have to make a similar one

I too am so tidy everywhere except in my craft room!! Hubby takes it as a cue to leave a mess everywhere though!!! An empty desk is the sign of an empty mind lol

Very pretty card Christine.
Yes, I find that deciding on a design is also the time consuming part!

Hi Christine
love your card very pretty. I am so pleased that I am not the ONLY slow crafter, I have crafting friends that can churn out cards one after the other, unfortunately that is so not me (doesn't help when I am desperately trying to make a lot of cards at the moment) for a very worthy fundraising cause.

I like this one alot, the colours are so soft. I notice that little butterfly had to be in on the scene. I think you have a butterfly problem in your house. I've heard of moths in wallets but butterflies in the craftroom?...LOL!!
I am like you in that I like clean and tidy, it drives my family barmy, yet when I craft that goes out of the window completely. Everything is everywhere, until... I sit down to have a drink or something ....then I start putting things straight and tidy away bits of paper etc. The only place I tend to be ok with is the floor, would you believe it. I only start to pick that up if it sticks to my feet as I work. We crafters are a mixed and funny bunch aren't we.
