Monday and Raring to Go!

Hello friends

I hope you all had a good weekend.
Yesterday my work colleague Kelly and her brother ran the Brentwood half marathon
to raise funds for The Royal Marsden.
They offered to do this once they knew of Elliott's condition and treatment.
Their finishing time was 2.24 hours and so far they have raised £1,718.22 -
a Just Giving page was set up here.
Here they are sporting their Royal Marsden running tops.
An amazing achievement and Elliott and I are extremely grateful and proud of
both Kelly and Adam - thank you so much.

No blog post yesterday - I'm afraid I was buried under a mountain of craft projects!
This is what happens when you create for about eight hours straight...
And much later after frantic tidying!
A clear desk - hurrah!
I'm delighted to say that I feel like I've caught up and now raring to go
on other ideas, plans and more.

I took delivery of some new items for the shop and website including these...
the notebooks that are perfect for altering.
I searched high and low and eventually found a supplier - I'm happy now!
All the details are here.

Take care friends, it's the start of a new creative week!

Morning Christine. Well done to Kelly and Adam for their splendid effort.
If you're anything like me, a tidy craft room doesn't last for long, but I can usually find things in the 'mess' (not always the case when I've tidied up!!)Love and hugs to you all,
Maggie x

Morning Christine, Wow !! Well done to Kelly and Adam, two fabulous people, and a fabulous amount raised, a brilliant effort.
Like Maggie above, I am the same, I can normally always find something within the 'mess' but when tidied away, I haven't a clue haha !! Great piccies today. I wanted some black seam binding yesterday to finish off a card I had made, I couldn't find any in my drawers, so I decided to use black soot distress stain to colour some blush seam binding, what an absolute mess my glass mat was in after I had done this 'operation' haha, but hopefully it has worked !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Sandra, Thank you for the hugs, greatly appreciated xx

Well done to Kelly and Adam, I am in awe of anyone who can run that far. It always feels good when you've had a good tidy up of the craft room, but it's never tidy for very long! JuliaTx

Hi Christine, well done to Kelly and Adam, what a fabulous thing to do and amount raised. It was so goo to see your before and after photos! When I craft it's usually a long 'stint' like you and I'm exactly the same (as are most crafters)...a gradual eating up of space, a frantic clear up and then next time not being able to find a thing! Hugs, Carole Z X

wow Christine, what a transformating when you tidy up - I'd be able to do that if I had a bigger room with more storage. Half my stuff is piled in boxes under the desk! Congrats to the marathon runners - no, I think they deserve to be called athletes!
