It's the Weekend!

Hello friends
Well sunflowers are popular!  An amazing response to yesterday's
blog post - thank you so much.  I'm now in a little dilemma as to what
Create A Flower die to feature next time....

I had more visitors than normal yesterday which meant that my
blog rating shifted from number '13' to number '11' - hurrah!

You can imagine I get an uneasy feeling being number 13, truly do not
need any bad luck this year so thank you for clicking into my blog each day.

So what have I got for you today?
A scrapbook page that is in this month edition of Scrapbook Magazine.
It features those two men in my life...
The layout is part of a feature called 'Scraplift Challenge' -
this is where you can use my design as an idea for your layouts.
The papers I've used are Fancy Pants - Memories Captured and
the bunting in the top right hand corner is created with 3D Foam Pennants.
Dies featured are Stars Five and Classic Hearts.
Not a flower or butterfly in sight - I tried to keep it manly!

As mentioned, I am running an Introduction to Scrapbooking class
on Saturday 5 April - the details are here.
It would be a chance to scrap a favourite photo(s) and learn about
sketches, journalling, white space, balance, directing the eye and more...
it's lots of fun too!

Enjoy your weekend - let's hope the promised sunshine arrives -
who is gardening??
Take care friends.

Lovely page Christine, super photo of the boys.
My garden is still flooded, even the plastic tunnel, so I will need a bit more dry weather before I can get planting in the veggie patch! By the way, may not always put leave a comment, but visit the blog on a daily basis, so pleased to see that you are climbing the chart. Anne x

This is lovely and pretty, yet manly. I so want to try a scrapbook page. I have sooooo many photos just sitting in boxes, I think they need to see the light of day.

Congrats on moving up to ll Christine - I'm not into scrapbooking, I have thousands of photos, so I dread to think how many scrap books I would need, at the rate of one or two pics per page. I still like the one you featured though.

What a great layout page. Very timely as I've been struggling with ideas for 'manly' embellishments for a card commission. Thanks Christine.

Hi Christine, I like the idea of doing a scrapbook page but I'm no good at taking photos. I noticed that you do a lot of black and white photos on a scrapbook page...does that work better than a colour photo? Janice x

Hi Christine, I'm so glad your rating went up to 11, although I don't think that 13 is unlucky at all, but I know that lots of people do, so let's not tempt fate eh !! haha.
I'm loving your layout, a great piccie of Elliott and Mitchell, and fabulous combination of papers and shapes, I love it !!
The weather hasn't been as forecast in my neck of the woods today, here's hoping tomorrow is better, let's hope some people got some sunshine today. We went shopping first thing, then to the Crematorium (as it is my Mum's Anniversary tomorrow), then I made two Baby cards this afternoon, so crammed a lot into today haha !!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
