Pretty Oval

Hello friends,
I've gone oval today with cream sepia tones.
A book created with oval shaped Nestaboard and using Grand Ovals die templates.
I chose to distress the edges slightly and use Tea Dye Distress Ink, the papers used are Tim Holtz which will be featured on the shows next week.
I've used the Grand Peony Creations die for the flowers but this time chose to keep them a little flatter,
what a useful die, you can conjure up all different flower shapes!
Also enjoyed creating the embossed swirl, again the stamps and embossing powder will be on the show,
there will be much loveliness! :)

I like the oval shape as it is quite unusual, loving the softly muted colours and that peony die certainly is versatile.

Gorgeous Peonies!!!
I have a sad face today though, I received mt new Spellbinders Dies yesterday and sat down to play today but my GC is not cutting the Romantic
Rectangles properly, its like it has enough pressure at the edges but not in the center! I have had to run it through a few times in different places. I have always made sure my sandwiches are correct and my C plate is well loved but not out of shape??? Can anyone help me please??
Huge hugs
Sandra xx

Hi Christine, I love this project and can't wait for your shows. I'm glad you have used the grand ovals, as I have them but don't use them much, I always seem to go for square shapes.

Hi Christine,
Another lovely journal/book. You are right about the flowers, they are so versatile and always a beautiful embellishment. I think this journal would be perfect for writing memories of my mum and dad, it just has something about it that would be right for that time and feeling. I may have to copy this idea, with your permission of course.
Regards Linda x
