Friday Die Day

Hello friends
It is that very special day of the week ....Friday Die Day!
I've got a truly lovely die set to share with you - A2 Curved Borders One.
These are part of the Card Creator series.
You receive 6 die templates - 4 decorative edge designs and 2 decorative inserts.
They each measure 6 inches long and if you look closely you can see double notches (registration marks) at either end of the dies - these are for alignment for continuous cutting - clever eh!
This is what they look like cut/embossed.
I have decided to make a little gift card wallet - not a tag!!
Apologies for the shadow in my pictures.
A piece of cardstock, scored twice and outer panels folded inwards.
Attached one of the decorative die cuts to the left hand panel.
Layered up the others on both sides.
Switched it to landscape and added some decorative paper (Carta Bella).
You would insert a pretty gift card - not an Oyster travel card!
I was at the studio and raiding my handbag for something...and unfortunately this was all I could find.
Of course it could be a money wallet too.
A close up of those lovely curved borders.
And...the good news is that I have a set of these to give away!
Again these are ex demonstration dies so no packaging.
Just leave me a comment on today's blog post -
perhaps what you would use the A2 Curved Borders One for.
These are available in my Amazon shop along with A2 Scalloped Borders One - tempting....
Bella is enquiring whether I pay overtime...only in Bonios!
Have a wonderful weekend.

You do use dies well, Christine. I had wondered how these worked and looked. Great! Thank you. Now off to Glasgow SECC to get cardmaking goodies.

Wow these look great. Clever the way they can be lined up for longer borders. A very stlish way to make a flap on a card/tag. You're lucky to have Bella as your office assistant and that she is nice and cheap to pay! Ju

What a lovely set of dies these are! It's great that the design can be extended too.
Thank you for your tutorial, I love the card/money holder. As always, you've chosen very pretty paper.
I would use these dies to decorate a set of notelets with a matching gift box to give as a present.
Thank you for the chance of winning the dies and have a good day.

Morning Christine, WOW, I love how you have used these dies in a wallet, I would use them for just that, a money wallet, I always give money to my Daughter and Grand-daughters at Birthdays and Christmas, so they can buy what they would like, and these would be 'just the ticket'. I love your inspiration, and thank you for the chance to win.

Hi Christine

Another lovely craft idea. I see the dies have some little pin holes/marks in them, so you could also add stitching, which would add another texture to the finished card.

Have fun at your class tomorrow, wish I could be there.

Take care

Good Friday morning Christine,
Well this week ha flown by! I have been sat looking at the posts from Tuesday to today as I have been able to view!
Wow what a fab video of the shops progress, brilliantly done, I have loved sharing this journey with you!
I am determined to make the journey and come visit you
in your studio!
Today's die is simply sensational, I love them, I could think of loads of different ways to use them.
Thank you for yesterday's explanation of the whole mixed media thing. brilliant idea as its easy to assume that everyone is familiar with the fancy terminology used these days!
Looking forward to this weekends posts already, thank you Christine for taking the time out of your hugely busy schedule to inspire us daily.

Hi Christine, Oh my goodness, another set of dies written on the wish list.

I can see a use for them with seed wallets (which i thought was a brilliant idea and have made a few). Also they maybe be able to be used on handmade notebooks to divide the book into sections or i think I would have a go at edging gift bags with them, or using round the edge of a box lid, or if you cut them out of material maybe they could be used as an edging for cuffs ??? So many ideas.....

Have a great weekend

Hi Christine
I love the dies and how you have used them - also love the colours of the gift wallet.
I think they would make a lovely interesting edge to the pages of a layered memory/word book. Even to the front open edge of a card - something different..
Thanks for the inspiration.

These dies are beautiful, I have a couple of sets of straight ones and they are so useful. Think I would use them in layers on a card to give a lace effect. Love the money wallets too I give money as gifts all year. Would love to win them, if not they will go on my ever growing wish list

Good morning Christine, love these dies but have to say I have problems using the edgeabilities (not sure why) but these look lovely and interesting. They would be handy to halve the background on a card especially if you only have the small M Bossabilities which do not cover the whole of a large card and could be a lovely swirl across the middle. Yes I may have to purchase these at some stage. Have a lovely day.

Hi Christine
WOW what a wonderful wallet. I've purchased a set of edgeabilities (straight ones not curved)and my creations looks a little boring compared to yours. Again you've inspired me. If I'm lucky enough to win these I'll be using them to make my sister's wedding invites. Fingers crossed. Barbara x

These are lovely dies... makes an ordinary card look amazing. A good idea as a card/money holder. With the dies having pin holes as part of the decoration, I would probably try and do some stitching effect on them to match my stitching patterns that I do on my cards. The extendable part is a bonus as I like doing larger cards at the moment. Have fun tomorrow. Janice x

Hello Christine, another lovely project today and lovely use of the fabulous dies. I'm sure they can be used for so many different things and I they they would always look lovely used on top of pretty papers, in contrasting plain colours. also as frames around a lot of different things, photo's embelishments, stamped images. More for the 'I want' list, it gets longer each time I look at your blog, which is everyday.

Afternoon Christine - It's the first time I have seen these dies so it was lovely to see how you created your wallets. I do have the earlier edgabilities dies and find them extremely useful in cardmaking, either as a finished edge or used as ribbons. Hi Christine I love the idea of these die borders as they can be for small edges as well being extendable for larger cards and as I don't have a Grand Calibur, it would help my cards to have the edge over other smaller cards (forgive the pun). Have a great weekend to all mums out there. X Ros
