It's Another Long One!

Hello friends
Oh yes...another long blog post!
First... this project has popped up on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog.
This is one of my altered notepads and using Kitschy Kitchen papers by Melissa Frances.
All the step shots are on their blog today.  I always seem to be sending you off
on links to visit places... hope you don't mind!

A close up using the lovely Jewel Flowers and Flourishes and Foliage
these dies never stray very far from my craft desk.
Decorating progress.....
At one point I had hoped to salvage this wall, such pretty Laura Ashley wallpaper but...
it wasn't to be!  Realised it had so many plaster splatters and trying to paint around it was
getting tricky so here is my mum with the task of stripping!
I've selected a different paper for this wall -
(do you know there is a severe lack of butterflies featured on wallpaper!!)
And it appears when it comes to hardcore decorating...teenagers are not quite up to it!

I'm now working in London today and tomorrow so decorating has halted until the weekend.
I will continue to update you with photos.

Next month in 2012 life/craft recap....
August
Elliott turned 16 - we spent a very wet day in London and had a trip to the theatre.
Friday Die Days continued - one of my absolute favourites Les Papillions

I made a pretty preserve jar using Homespun.
And I still couldn't not stop making felt flowers from Spiral Blossoms Three!
A break from craft/life recap tomorrow as it is....Friday Die Day.
Take care friends.

Hi Christine
I love this notebook and am determined to give making some a try this year!
It's great to see the decorating is a real family affair, how good that they're all able to help you.
Thank you for sharing your latest photos, looking forward to seeing the next ones and the studio progress after the weekend.
Have a good day.

Morning Christine, Your notebook is fascinating, lots of different patterns all complementing each other and the beautiful jewel flowers die-cuts, absolutely gorgeous.
What a shame you couldn't save the wallpaper, but the decorating seems to be coming on really well. You have been working your Son too hard, Christine ha ha.
The recap over 2012 is lovely, really nice to see beautiful creations again.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

The old saying "willing hands make light work" comes to mind with your bevy of workers. Its nice to see the progress you are making.

Hi Christine, loving the recaps. Shame about the wallpaper. You will have to design some wallpaper with butterflies on if there is nothing about.
Looking forward to FDD tomorrow.

PS hope it is not too traumatic returning to work for you.

The notebook is so pretty! I must have a go. It is such a shame about the wallpaper but I am looking forward to seeing the new one you have chosen. xx

Hi Christine,
I adore your embellished notebooks etc, they always give the recipient a little of you instead of a little of the manufacturers or branding. So much nicer than a big shopstore name or price sticker! Lol. Truly lovely and fabulous inspiration.
I do hope the decorating continues well. It's a shame about the paper but look at it this way, now you can paper and craftily decorate that wall to your personality.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to welcome me back to blogland. So kind. I will do my best to come by more often again.
Hugs Linda xx

Oh what a shame about that wallpaper, it is so bright & cheery & what wonderful parents you have they help so much. Love reading about your 2012 & re-living some of your delightful makes.
