Been shopping...again!

Hello friends
A picture day today...
In between crafting I have been shopping!  (My housework and ironing is suffering believe me).
Firstly a cushion from Ikea...I think it blends well with the wallpaper.
My local British Heart Foundation store gave me these two little shelf units.
I had previously donated some furniture to them and when chatting they said they had these little
units that they thought would work in my shop window....
Right now I've just placed some items in there to experiment...
I am wondering whether to paint them but the wood is lovely oak and it would be a shame.
I am bound to spend hours deliberating and titivating!

Another birdcage crept in..this time in cream!
And, after all that shopping I thought I ought to tackle the ironing...
I then changed my mind and took Bella for a walk - far more important!
It was very windy hence the situation with her ear turned inside out and too much fur over her eyes!
She looks a little startled as minutes before horses had just gone by.

Something crafty now.. new classes have been added for March.
If you click on the Spellbinders Academy button on my sidebar or here you will see I've uploaded
some more.  In March there is a Mother's Day Card and Gift Box for Chocolates class,
and a further Nestaboard/Grand Dies class (this month's class has sold out).
Also - some special news - Jennie from The Artistic Stamper will be visiting my studio
to take a class on Sunday 3 March, 10am to 1pm.
The final details are being put in place but I can confirm it will be £20.

If you require any further information or would like to book a class please email.
I'm back tomorrow - take care friends.

Hi Christine, love that cushion, fits in well with wallpaper. Bella looks a bit scared, nothing a cuddle won't cure. Shop/studio looking great.

Hi Christine, the cushion definitely does blend with the wallpaper. Love the units, I am sure you will make the right decision in the end to paint or not.
Poor little Bella, bet she did not know what hit her with that wind. Bless her.
I know it has been said many times before but I wish we lived closer. The ladies who can join in your classes are very lucky.
Have a lovely day.

Great purchases, poor Bella does look a bit windswept. I also wish I was close enough to visit-one day, perhaps.

You've a great eye for co-ordinating, the cushion looks like it's meant to be with the wallpaper. I think you should paint your cabinets, although wood is lovely I think it's too dark. Janice x

Hi Christine
I love the cushion, matches the wallpaper perfectly. How cute is little Bella, bless her.
I love the units, I love oak but am thinking to go with your shop probably better painted, perhaps with a few roses and or butterflies scattered around. Decision is yours haha!!
Have a good day

Stunning cushion Christine i love the design and colours and will work well with your wallpaper. Love the shelves too and that was so nice of the charity to donate them to you. Maybe you could shabby chic them a bit then you will still see the oak beneath this. xx hazel

It looks as though it's all coming together wonderfully well Christine. Everything matching together beautifully, as I would have expected from you. I can understand your indecision about the drawers but my personal thoughts would be to paint them as they would blend in perfectly With your other decor. You have to be happy with them though and I'm sure whatever you decide, they will look fab. You could ask Bella to decide for you?

Oh Christine what a dilemma - to paint or not to paint.... I love oak furniture and I don't think I could bring myself to cover it with paint - I'm pleased I don't have to make the decision. The cushion is beautiful and seems to have been made to match your wallpaper. Bella certainly looks apprehensive. tfs
Happy crafting.

Morning Christine

What a pretty cushion and I love the oak units and it is a shame to paint them but I think they would go lovely with the chair if they were white

Decisions decisions lol

Morning Christine, The cushion pattern is perfect for the wallpaper, couldn't have been better.
The units look lovely, to paint or not to paint, that is the question !!!!!
Poor Bella, but I bet she likes the wind in her ears ha ha.
Another birdcage, they do look lovely though.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Hi Christine
The cushion is a perfect match, almost as though it was made with your wallpaper in mind!
As much as I lie the oak shelves, I think I too would paint them to match your other 'fixtures & fittings'. Maybe leave it a while before you make your decision.
I bet the wind took Bella's breath away yesterday, it certainly was a hoolie!

Have a good day

Hi Christine, Just got back from taking Lewie (my border collie) for a good walk, first time in ages, so pleased all the snow has gone from here at least.
Just love that cushion you have purchased. It's an excellant match with the wallpaper - well done. Also like the little corner units too. If you chose to paint, try an emulsion paintwash, it is much easier to remove should you want to revert back to the oak. I've done that many times, I like painted furniture and upcycling old pieces, been doing it on and off for many years.
Bella does look a littled startled and wind swept, bet she enjoyed herself all the same.
Crafty best wishes, Carolyn x

Hi Christine, love the cushion, it really is a good match! Like the units too, not going to day whether to paint or not though! Our hens demanded to be let out when I got home yesterday, but the wind soon made them decide to head back to their run! Carole Z X

Evening Christine, you could not have found a better match with the cushion. The little units are beautiful but perhaps they don't fit in with your colour plans. did Bella miss the snow? She was having such fun in the video you posted recently!
