Friday Die Day

Hello friends

With the snow piling up outside and arctic temperatures I give you
a Spring-like card!
This week's Friday Die Day features Bird on Cherry Branch.
A four piece die set designed by Sharyn Sowell for Spellbinders.
The approximate measurements are:

Leaves: 0.30 x 0.45 in. 0.70 x 1.30 cm
Small Flower: 0.50 x 0.45 in. 1.20 x 1.10 cm
Large Flower: 0.65 x 0.61 in. 1.60 x 1.60 cm
Strip: 0.70 x 0.11 in. 1.70 x 0.30 cm
Wing: 1.45 x 0.40 in. 3.60 x 1.00 cm
Bird: 3.50 x 1.95 in. 8.90 x 4.90 cm

This is how each die looks cut/embossed.

I've used multiple 6 x 6 mats for my card front, brown card, gold foil card and patterned paper.

Using 3D Foam Squares I've affixed the main die cut in place. I chose to keep it white
as it looked striking against the gold and brown.

To finish (oh yes, a speedy card - it was very cold in my crafty cabin!)
I added the flowers, cut from white and gold and some gold enamel dots to the middle.

a close up pic of that lovely singing bird, the wing is attached separately.

Wishing you a lovely weekend and most importantly stay safe and warm.
Take care friends.

Hi Christine
A really nice quick card, I'd put this in the 'very difficult to make for' male card category idea.
Stay safe if you are travelling today.

Lovely card and die today Christine and I particularly like that lovely foiled card you used for the background. You are brave going out to your cabin in this weather - I'm staying warm crafting by the log fire! x

Very cute card Christine, we've seen lots of birds in the garden these past few snowy days, seems like they enjoy the buffet we provide and need to stock up for the cold weather. Can't wait to see a bit more sunshine.
