Friday Giveaway!

Hello friends
I am completely overwhelmed by your kindness, so many comments and emails yesterday.
It feels like we are in a wonderful cocoon of friendship, prayer and healing thoughts.
You never know what life has in store for you, not for a second did I think this was around
the corner but knowing we have so much support makes it bearable.
Heartfelt thanks to you all.
Elliott has also read the comments and he has asked if he can do his own post
and that will be coming soon.

Today...not quite a Friday Die Day but I do have a giveaway for you.
I have a set of Ornate Squares - as mentioned these are ex-demo dies
so not in the original packaging but perfectly usable.
There is five die templates including a flower, accent, tag, border and square.
They are lovely for framing cards, photos or sentiments.
Today Linda Lucas, one of the Spellbloggers is featuring this die set in a
beautiful project here.
I have used them for these projects.
A treat bag (the butterfly is from Butterfly Corner).
A base for a gift box.
But there are so many more options.
All you need to do is leave me a comment,
say anything...how about what you are up to this weekend?
I hope it may feature some crafting...?  I am going to be in my studio tomorrow
with six ladies and we are making a butterfly frame...here is a sneak peek...
Take care friends - you are all wonderful!

I am planning to do a bit of crafting with my 6 year old twins. I did have plans for some sewing but that might be a bit too ambitious so I might get them cutting with some spellbinder die for me to use later. Im sure they will enjoy it and it will save me a job later.

That sounds good that Elliot is going to have his own post. Look forward to reading it and then sending him a message. I am scrapbooking this weekend completing a book of photos taken last month in Mudeford. We went away there 50 years ago (oh my goodness) when I was 16 and we have just celebrated our anniversary. We went back to some of the places visited when we were so young. It was good to see the changes. I tood a pikkie of a beautiful sunset that I want to have enlarged and framed. Hope everyone has a good weekend and that the weather may be getting warmer. Take care Christine

Hi Christine. So lovely that Elliot wants to post. My love to both of you.

It's my daughters 39th birthday tomorrow. She alsways makes my birthday so special that I have planned a few surprises for her. Of course, it's the Grand National and being from Liverpool it's traditional to watch the race even though I close my eyes at every jump.

Just looked at Julia Watts blog and she has a lovely card on it today that I think I will try to make on Sunday.

Have a peaceful weekend.

Your family have constantly been in my thoughts since yesterday and it's lovely to see all the other lovey comments and good wishes coming your way. Looking forward to Elliot's post. This weekend I need to tidy my craft room before I can start any crafting. I seem to start a project then another idea leaps into mind and I start that, and another until it looks like world war three has started. So hopefully it will be tidy craft room, tidy mind.

Hi Christine I have just read your sad news and I am so sorry. You do not indeed know what is round the corner, five years ago during the night I had a brain haemorrhage and after two operations and a month in hospital I was lucky enough to recover, I thought I was not going to be able to craft again but although it was a slow process I am now fully recovered and I value every minute. Although it was hard and painful for me at times I think it was worse for my family. My thoughts are with you and I hope things go well, there are some wonderful doctors and nurses who really care and I'm sure your son will be in good hands. x

None of us were expexting FDD today, you have more than enough on your plate to be worrying about that! Maybe all of us followers should forward you pics of projects etc to help fill the days that you are too pre-occupied, just an idea!
i would love to see a post from Elliott, maybe he could start a blog of his own about his fight to beat this 'beast'! I am sure we would all step up and support him! it would give him something to do in all the hours of waiting around and something to look back on when he is over the worst!
This weekend my children are hoping to go to a 'theme park'....nooooo!!
Love and hugs to you all,

I'm having a little play with making paper beads at the moment. It's so theraputic sitting watching TV and turning bits of paper into lovely beads. it's so easy and inexpensive. Obviously they can be used for jewellery making but I'm looking for ideas as to how to use them in card making and home decor ideas.

First, my happy and good wishes go out to you, Elliot and your family! Looking forward to reading Elliot's post.
These are beautiful dies... to add to my collection, lol!,.. So it's raining buckets today, which is nothing new for us here in Vancouver, Canada and I am so hoping the sun will be out Sunday. I hope it's ok to share that myself and two friends are going to visit our dear friend Noelle (she passed away 3 years ago) and a bench has been placed at her favourite park in memory. Her favourite flower was the 'snap pea, but as it's a little early for those I will leave her one of my favourites, Gerbera Daisy! It's a sad, yet happy day to remember her, sit at her bench w/all 4 of us together again! Have a great Friday and weekend :)

We pulled together as a family and gave each other support and i know that you and your family will do the same.Elliot is a very brave, positive young man and will see this through. My son is well again now and getting on with life.
