Friday Die Day

Hello friends
First of the month...we are hurtling towards Spring now.
Friday Die Day and this week I'm going with romance....
You receive 6 die templates with this set.
They coordinate with Classic Heart so you can do some pretty layering.
This is how they look cut/embossed.
Red - very Valentines!
Now something a little different - do you use rub-ons?
Do you spend quite a long time pressing them through with a lolly stick?
If so, here is an idea.... position your rub on onto your paper/cardstock.
Place a further piece of card underneath just for thickness.  Run this through your Grand Calibur
with your A Base Plate and C Cutting Plate.
The pressure transfers your rub-on!
(Please note:  Rub-ons tend to vary by manufacture, some transfer perfectly others can
be a little stubborn so it may take a couple of runs through the Grand Calibur - also the style of
rub-on can make a difference - just lift the edge gently to see if they have transferred properly).
I then cut/embossed two hearts - one white and one red with the rub-on in place.
Welcome back tag!  Where have you been??
I've covered the tag with some spotty paper and inked the edges.
Stamped cream cardstock with a 'newsprint' stamp and applied a panel.
Added some spotted ribbon and the two hearts layered.
Finishing touches - two little flowers, a tag stamped and twine.
Yes...that's my tag die that I lost and now found - such a relief!
A close up pic.
Before I go - I've had a request to feature my bookends that I created for Spellbinders some time ago -
here is the link and this is a picture of them...

Have a lovely weekend dear friends.
I'm back tomorrow.

Hi Christine

Your tag is gorgeous, I love everything about it, plus you've used a set of dies I own! I must add it to my list of things to give a try.

The bookends are fabulous, I must have missed them before. As for the rub-ons, what a great idea, I have loads in a file that I bought when I first started making cards. This is a good tip and reminder for m to rescue them and use!
Thanks so much for FDD, it's good to see it back :-))

Yay for Fdd!
I love those scalloped hearts and I loved what you did with them!
Do you stock much on the way of rub ons Christine? It's something I don't come across very often.
I hope you have a lovely weekend.
