A Book and a Birthday

Hello friends
It is the start of a weekend and it looks positively dull, damp and grey...
thank goodness for craft to brighten things up!
The new Spellbinders book - Giftabilities is available now and I'm still getting a buzz
from having two projects on the front cover.
I thought today I would share with you a close up of the card...
I had already made the pendant and Spellbinders asked me to create a matching
card - I kept it very simple and elegant using Fancy Framed Tags Two.
I was also super pleased to see another project of mine featured inside the book - a festive one...
I'm going to reveal more about that tomorrow...

On Thursday we celebrated Mitchell's Birthday - 19!
Here he is with his cake - a mint Aero cake, I'm afraid I didn't have time to make him one!
He refused candles this year but we still insisted on singing 'Happy Birthday' which
always confuses Bella for some reason....
I'm back down my studio today working on commissions and the shop sign.
Take care friends and enjoy your weekend - what are you up to??

Morning. Nothing special planned this weekend just loads of chores (boring) and maybe some crafting (hurray). I have to organise a bit more of our holiday - it's less than 8 weeks now. It's a bit wet here so probably no dog walking - Toby is definitely a fair weather dog, he hates the rain. Ju

I'm sure Mitchell really didn't mind the Aero cake for his birthday, it certainly looks very yum and he knows how busy you have been lately! Bella looks so cute.

The sun is shining here at the moment, so fingers crossed it stays, will make a nice change. Shopping and cardmaking for me today, so best get a move on!

Morning Christine. Congratulations to Mitchell, it doesn't seem that long ago you mentioned his 18th. Time is really flying isn't it? Very elegant card today. Hope your commissions and sign making go well today.
Going out tonight for a meal with friends but it has been snowing again in the night....NO not again!!! Other than that the usual chores and the best part of the weekend - seeing the family.
Hope you enjoy.

Hi Christine, Seeing your projects from the new book I wish mine would hurry up and drop on my doorstep, seems ages ago when I ordered it.
All good wishes to your son Mitchell, he's turning out to be a great looking guy (don't tell him though)I'm sure your very proud.
Hope all goes well down in the studio this weekend. I've just come up to the craftroom to spend some me time. The sun has put in an appearance but its very chilly due to the wind. Will be taking Lewie out for a walk when Dad returns from Market.
