Friday Die-Day!

Hello friends
It's Friday and in my crafty world that can only mean one thing...
Friday Die-Day!
This week I'm going green...with Foliage.
I think I over-use the word 'useful' but honestly this is a seriously USEFUL set of dies.

You receive 6 dies in total and if my nature skills were good I could tell you what sort of leaves these are
but for now I'm going to say they are a nice variety!

This is how they look cut/embossed and stencilled.
One of my favourite things to do is to stamp them using a script stamp and this also
looks effective when heat embossed (example coming up....)
Someone last week said she is going to call me the 'tag lady' - this made me laugh and I'm thinking she is absolutely right and I'm going to go with it...so yes, again this week I'm creating a tag!
I've used one of the foliage die templates as a stencil to spritz through with Glimmer Mist.
And, with a little bit of assembling and using the Bauble Blossom One that I created some weeks ago,
I have a finished leafy tag!
And this is the example of the leaves stamped and heat embossed.
Before I go I have something to tell you...
it is Bella's Birthday today - she is 1 year old.
I think that calls for special treats and some new toys.
Here she is the very first day we brought her home.
Have a brilliant weekend dear friends, let's hope we have sun and creative fun!
Take care,

Morning and Happy birthday Bella. Definitely more doggie treats today I think - cuddles go without saying. Who would have thought that she would be the little celebrity that she has turned out to be. She has so many followers like her Mummy.
To the dies, I have them too and use them quite a lot. Thanks for the ideas re the tags though - brilliant.
Have a lovely weekend - hope the weather bucks up.

Hi Christine, love the tag & the 3 different techniques with the same leaf die. I wasn't sure about spritzing through the die, but it looks amazing once layered up. Thanks for sharing.
Wishing Bella a very Happy Birthday & good health for the years to come. She looks so cute in the photo.

I have these dies Christine and they are so useful, but I have not tried using them as a stencil with a mister. Thanks for the tutorial today, more inspiration for me.
Now I mustn't forget to say a big 'Happy Birthday' to Bella, she is growing into such a pretty dog. Anne x.

Happy Birthday Bella - lots of doggie treats and cuddles to you!!! Sorry Christine had to do that first - anyway I love the way you have used these dies, I just use one of them usually (the same one each time) to put with flowers. This just goes to show what CAN be done. The tag is so pretty and has given me inspiration (I do need some).

Thanks again and woofs to Bella.

Hi Christine, I look forward to "Friday Die Day". I like the tag ideas you have shared, and the book is beautiful. Give Bella a big Birthday hug. Not too many treats though, ha ha. She was soooo cute as a puppy and so tiny... Hugs Lesley x

Happy birthday Bella, how pretty you look, I hope mummy spoils you rotten.
Fabulous tips Christine thank you.
I love these dies and as you say they are one of the most versatile sets made by Spellbinders.
Have a great day all.
On my blog today, I have done a tutorial with border dies. I have called it 'Grown' borders. It shows how to cut and glue borders to make them deeper and lacier. I hope you can pop by and give me your opinion, I would really appreciate your expert eye.
Don't go eating Bellas cake now! LOL.
Hugs Linda xx

Feel such a fool Christine! Why? It never occured to me to use dies as masks!! and here's me lusting after a cogs mask when I have a set of SB dies that will do the job perfectly. Back to the craft mat methinks... hugs, Buttons x
