Friday Die Day

Hello friends
It's Friday and in my little world that means Friday Die Day.
This week I'm featuring one of the new Cut and Emboss Folders -
As the name suggests, these folders cut and emboss, really rather nifty.
I've photographed the folder open so you can see the areas that cut and emboss.

I ran through a piece of ivory card.
Looking at both sides - the emboss and deboss equally lovely.
For those with a Platinum machine the sandwich is platform, folder with medium inside
and one cutting plate on top.

I'm using a blue card base and patterned paper - Graphic 45 Bohemian Bazaar.

I applied 3D Foam Squares to the reverse.
Whether you use small or regular the depth is the same - useful!

Mounted onto the card front.

To decorate I used Fancy Edged Circles to create a narrow frame,
and fluted circle.  Two plain circles, one cut from matching patterned paper
and one stamped.  The stamp was a freebie from a magazine.
Blooming Rose for the flower, distress inks and stamens.

The narrow frame in position with patterned circle.

The fluted circle and stamped sentiment mounted with 3D Foam Squares.

Finishing touch is the flower created with Blooming Rose.
It's pretty instant and that background from the folder really sets it off.

I'm loving this design and those fall out pieces make cute little hearts.

and all priced £7.50.

I'm pleased to say I had an uneventful morning getting ready for work today
as opposed to yesterday morning.
One of our cats chose to bring in a frog and I am terrified of frogs!
I can cope with other 'cat-gifts' but this one sent me running from the house.
Bella was useless (asleep) so it was down to Elliott to sort it out,
very thankful to him!

Take care friends, have a lovely weekend and may mine be frog-free!

An absolutely gorgeous card Christine, what a beautiful folder. That would make some gorgeous wedding invitations.

I am glad your morning went better than yesterday. I can't say I am a frog lover either but if a cat brought in a snake, that might just give me a heart attack! LOL (To me, a frog in comparison would be preferable. haha)
Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Christine, Beautiful card today. Love the embossing folder and dies you have used.
Great idea to die cut out part of the embossing folder and create a central focal point. WHY didn't I think of that!!! Love Brenda xx
