Daisy, Daisy...and life is testing!

Hello friends

Sharing with you today a project I created for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
using their 3D Foam Circles as daisy centres, heat embossed.

The full details are over on the Scrapbook Adhesives blog here.

This technique of using embossing powders on their 3D Foam Circles
works so well, not just the circles either, try it with their squares and shapes.

3D Foam Circles are available on the website here.

Sometimes life likes to test us and yesterday was a prime example of that.
I awoke to find I had a flat tyre on my car, turns out I had driven
over a screw.  Luckily it could be repaired but it took hours.

I came home to discover a smell of gas and thought it was coming from our
lounge fire, called out the people who know about these things and no,
much worse.  The pipes from my gas box outside coming into my home
have corroded and leaking gas, everything had to be turned off!

So when things feel like they are going wrong left, right and centre,
what should you do?
Craft and then craft some more...
it works, blood pressure now back to normal.
And pretty daisies also put a smile on my face.

I'm looking forward to an uneventful day today please,
engineers are visiting this afternoon to hopefully get all my pipes
in working order!

Please stop by tomorrow as it is Giveaway Day.

Take care friends.

Sorry to her about your gas problem - what a lucky stroke it didn't happen in the middle of winter or your hands would have been too cold to craft, with the boiler turned off!

Oh my goodness what a horrible day you had, lets hope today is uneventful and no dramas when the gas engineers arrive. I'll have a look at the project later but the end result is great. I love daisies in any shape or form. Best wishes Jackie x

Hello Christine
Thank goodness it wasn't winter, like Jane said it would have been too cold to craft.

Hope every thing gets sorted today!

Morning Christine,
Why is it these things always happen together, we had to have two new tyres on the card the
same week the windscreen cracked and now my dishwasher has gone wrong and can't be mended, lucky I had replacement insurance on it so a new one will arrive next week.

Hope you get the gas sorted out quickly. Love your pretty card.

Hi Christine, Goodness what bad luck you had yesterday, so glad you got your BP down in the end, I think mine would be still be 'up there' haha.
Gorgeous card, I'm amazed that you can emboss onto 3D foam circles, I've learned a lot today.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

A lovely card Christine and I have to admit, I have done the embossing on 3D foam dots but it has been years. Thanks for sharing this, it is a great idea and it reminds me of earlier techniques that I have long forgotten.
Sorry yesterday was "one of those days" for you, sadly we all have them but thankfully crafting is our relief from reality. LOL
Enjoy TODAY!

Hi Christine

What a start to your week! It could have been worse - it could have been mid winter! Still, not nice at whatever time.

I would love to have a chance to win the lovely die this week. The charity card has been much admired and I'd love to 'reprise' it!

Hope you've had a lovely day with your friend.

Best wishes,
Anne O
