Pretty Petals A

Hello friends

A little tutorial today - a pink and easy card using Pretty Petals A.
I feel sorry for the Pretty Petal dies, they seem to have been overlooked by fancy flowers
so I thought it was time I gave them a moment of fame!

There's two dies in the set and they measure 2" across.
I cut the solid flower from patterned paper and the intricate one from pink cardstock.
My card base, matching matted paper and card, also my layered flower.
I created a sentiment matted section for the middle of my card.
Added some twine and the leaves are from Foliage (not Sprigs... now that makes a change!)
Close up pics.
I love the character of this flower, it is the sort of flower I can draw!
Today has been a sort of a mini Friday Die Day on a Wednesday - that's a tad confusing!
All the Pretty Petal dies are available on the website here - in the Spring sale too!

Come in number 227...your prize awaits you!!
I didn't hear yesterday so hoping you are reading the blog today.

Also, just to let you know Junior Plates are back in stock.
I managed to lay my hands on a few sets - gold dust, they really are!

And Sentiments 3 is back, hurrah!
I think this is the most popular as it features 'Happy Birthday'.

Take care friends.

Good morning Christine
Cute card today. This little flower is one of my favourite dies at the moment. It is a really cute little flower and I like to pop a small button in the centre.
Enjoy your day

Gorgeous card, the die is lovely as is the colour you have chosen. I will look forward to seeing what you create with your other dies. I bought the Art Deco etc set but have not got round to using that yet, not enough hours in the day lol!

Gorgeous card today Christine.
I particularly like the matting and layering and the twine behind the flower. Have you used enamel dots as the accents? They seem to be very popular these days and add a lovely touch to a card, especially when you can match the colour as you have done.

Hi Christine, A gorgeous card, lovely colours and patterns.
I had to chuckle at your write-up re: the sprigs hahaha, but these leaves go perfectly with the gorgeous flowers.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

I've not seen these dies...Where have I been! I love how you've simply matched the flower to the backing papers. Makes a beautiful effective card. What have you used in the centre of the flower? Going to your site now to take a look
