Cherish, News and a Little Appeal...

Hello friends
A scrapbook page today that has just appeared in the Spellbinders Gallery.
This is a photo of Mitchell and my niece Rachel, quite a few years ago!
I've used Butterfly Corner to create a border on the right hand side and a
fluttering of pretty butterflies.  Labels Four is used for a journalling tag that fits
Further details are supplied here.

A little appeal from me today - I'm in search of the magazine
Simply Cards and Papercraft - Issue 109, April edition.
If anyone has a spare copy or one they no longer want I would very much like to
purchase it please.  I only found out while I was away that
one of my projects is featured and I do like to keep a record of those magazines.

We were at King's yesterday for Elliott's results.  It was a mix bag of news.
Following surgery the tumour is still there but greatly reduced.
It is hoped the forthcoming radiotherapy will shrink it dramatically.
Very pleased that the optic nerves seem to be recovering so Elliott's field vision
should be returning.  He has an array of eye tests in two weeks' time.

Now something fun... it was so good to unpack the goodies I brought home for the
boys, spray cheese!  Yes, spray cheese - how awful is that!
Cinnamon cereals, Nerd sweets and more.
Also make your own popcorn at home.
It comes in a ready made pan that you place on the hob.
You heat, it inflates and Bob's your uncle - popcorn! Tasted pretty good too.
On the subject of cooking I have my next Charity Kit nearly organised.
It is going to be a recipe file/notebook.
There will be the kit to make the file/notebook and then a series of recipe cards
including the cakes that were very popular at the Charity Event.
My good friend Terry has divulged the recipe of Canadian Malt Loaf...
this is a real treat for sure!
Please stop by as I will have all the details up on my blog soon.
We are already getting closer to Elliott having a bird on the Tree of Life.
Thank you friends for always being so supportive.

Great idea for the charity. How about a few recipes from your followers/customers. I am up for sending some of my tried and tested ones. What about a small fee for these? I am up for doing any printing that you might require on this. Good news about Elliot. Take care Valerie

Morning Christine, Fantastic layout, and beautiful pics.
Good news and a mixed bag you had at Kings, great news about the optic nerves, positive thinking and huge hugs and prayers being sent your way.
So glad that Mags could help with the magazine, I would have thought when you were published in a magazine that they would send you a copy !! surely that would be a courtesy from the magazine, what a shame they don't.
Your goodies sound fabulous, I love cheese - but spray cheese - jury's out on that one ha ha. Popcorn looks great, I love mine with butter melted on it and salt, yummeeeeeeee.
Looking forward to the next Charity kit, cake recipes sound divine, I love cake.

What a great scrapbook page today. Fantastic idea to create a border from a corner die. No wonder they keep you on the DT at Spellbinders.
I see you've already had an offer of the mag, but I still have one as well if that falls through. There's some great inspiration in it (including your project) which is why I kept it. Onwards and upwards for Elliot. Sometimes it must seem like a long road for a young man, not to mention his mum!
All the best.

Hi Christine,
A bit late today (or is that yesterday?)
Good news for Elliot, albeit it must seem like a small step for him. But hang in there, all of you.
Lovely scrapbook page..........
and - dare I say it - even lovelier popcorn! Wish we could get those pans here! (or perhaps not, considering my waistline).
Lots of good wishes
Rose
