Friday Die Day and a Chance to Win the Dies!!

Hello friends
Whoosh ....and Friday Die Day is here!
This week I am featuring Gold Corners One from the Imperial Gold dies AND....
I am able to give away a set of these!
Spellbinders have kindly offered me some of the demo show dies to give away on my blog -
the lucky recipient will not have the packaging but the dies are the main thing..right?!
All you have to do is leave me a comment - if you would like to mention how you
would use the corner dies that would be great.
Bella will pick out a winner next week.

Okay, I may have cheated just a little this week because I did feature this tag on
Create and Craft but for those of you who missed it I decided to do a step by step tutorial and
feature it on FDD.
You receive an assortment of corner dies - some with soft curvy corners, some with spiked and others with scalloped - all very detailed and pretty.
Remember these revolutionary dies cut/emboss/deboss/pierce and stencil.
This is how they look cut/embossed.
Here is the tag - please note the splodge-like marks are the paper design - I didn't spill my coffee!
I chose to cut/emboss 8 scallop corner die cuts from orange/red cardstock.
Applied some liquid adhesive to the straight corners.
Layered one on top of the other but opened up the scallop edge to create a little pocket.
I couldn't resist trying out Gold Labels Four.
Arranged my corner 'pockets' to create a flower.
A little flower, pearl and lace ribbon added to finish.  You can of course stamp/add a sentiment,
my main focus was using the corners as a flower.
A close up picture.
This tag got sent out to a viewer along with a few of my cards - I hope they all arrive safely.
Have a wonderful weekend - take care friends.
Just off to tell Bella that she's got some work coming up...!

Hi Christine, I love the idea of making a flower out of these corner pieces. I hope that I will be lucky and I will be able to try this at home. Especially now and Mother's Day coming along. Allthough I have lost my mother I have 2 fantastic aunties that are like a mother to me. I read your blog every day Christine and I hope you're spellbinders academy will be successful. Pity I live so far away from you. Swansea is quite a trek. All for now x x x

Lovely tag - oh the detail on those corner dies! I am primarily a scrapbooker so I would definitely use them on a layout to start with...maybe something vintage.
(so fun that you popped into Try It Tuesday with Ken!)

Thanks for the chance to win!

Morning Christine,
What a lovely tag - these corner dies are really detailed, they make a lovely flower.
How would i use them - i would make pockets and string them to make a bunting effect, then add letters to the pockets depending on what the project was for.

Hi Christine
I really look forward to FDD's. glad all was well when you got home. These new dies are lovely and think they could make a lovely fan too. Also as a sort of photo corner for use in layouts or on cards to hold another shape in place. The gold dies give such great detail. Have a great weekend.

Morning i love the alternate use you have demostrated for the corners. I would ove to win them and try them at home. I have a wedding card to make for a work collegue and i think they would look great on my card either as corners or even possibly as a flower in the bottom right corner. good luck to all in the 'bella draw'
Have a good weekend

Morning Christine, wow the chance to win these dies - thank you so much and good luck to everyone. Better get the treats ready for Bella...
What would I do with them...well you could maybe join the spikey one up to make the sun or maybe even a crown and the scalloped one you could use as a fan.
Have a lovely day.

These look like superb dies Christine. I enjoyed so much watching you on C&C with the dies - just wish they'd be quiet more and let you do your thing as you are so inspiring!! I would use them for flowers but individually rather than combined as they remind me of stylised tulips. Thanks for the chance to win them, hugs Jenny x

Wow Christine, I was a little afraid of these dies when I saw them released on the TV, so intricate, but now you have made me want them, so I have them on my wish list. Love how you have turned them into little pockets and then that gorgeous flower, I will be at one of your classes as soon as I get a chance :-)

Hi Christine,
I love this tag and saw you demonstrate it on TV. You have inspired me with your tags and I now make one to match my Birthday cards to family and friends. It makes it so much more personal. The dies you've used look so versatile, I would love to have a go at making the flower with them.

Hi Christine. I loved this tag when it was demo'd on C+C. Love the way you made the corners into pockets.

I must admit, old fashioned crafty that I am, I love placing corners on the corners of a square card and joining them up with straight line peef offs. I think it looks pretty effective.

What a great prize. So useful, flowers, corners for your scrapbook projects, bunting, add extra interest to your existing dies. Endless.

Morning Christine, WOW, your use of these beautiful corners is genius, I would never have thought that, a brilliant idea. When I first saw these dies, I immediately though of using the foil sheets, die cut, then using the TH metallic dabbers and using them as antiqued hinges and corners.
I can't believe how quickly these Fridays are coming around, but I love the FDD, made even better today with the chance to WIN these fantastic dies. Bella has her work cut out ha ha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Morning Christine

I loved these dies as soon as I saw them on C&C and love your tag too. Thank you for the chance of winning them. I'm really not sure either what I would do with them. If I was lucky enough to win them I would certainly enjoy having a play!

Many thanks to all the other ladies for their ideas already, I will enjoy following this post.

Hope you have a good day.

Hi Christine, I like the way you have made the corners into a flower. Although I have never made a scrapbook page ( I plan to try one day), I think these would make lovely photo corners. I made an invitation once which had a photo on it, I had to buy a punch to hold the photo. These dies would have looked so much nicer.

I think as today is so cold, I am going to stay in and craft, maybe try and make some tags?
Have a good day Sally x

Hi Christine, I loved what you did with these corner dies on the C & C show, very clever.
I think they would be great to feature on a scrapbook page as corners to photo and as decoration.
I esp. like the papers you used too.

Mmmmm they look really good...
I would use them to layer in the centre of a card and then put some of them in the corners.
that is just one idea but I think when you use any spellbinder die more things come about.

Morning Christine, I also wasn't sure about these dies when I first saw them but you have now made me start to think about ideas! I think I could make a pleated rosette by creasing them and joining them up. You would need quite a few but that would be great fun making them all. I am sure with a bit of moulding you could make a rose out of them if you consider each one as a petal. Would love to win a set but good luck to everyone, equal Hope and Chances!!

Christine
After seeing you on Create and Craft recently I decided to visit your blog - its fantastic and keep up the great work.
I make boxes for special cards and I would use the corner dies to decorate the corners of my box lids as they sometimes need a little lift.
Thanks for all the inspiration.

The card arrived yesterday it is beautiful thank you! Loving all these new dies too many dies not enough pennies! My favourites at the moment are the tree set and the butterfly corners! My current project is jars filled with mini eggs and decorated with spellbinder flowers and butterflies. I got the inspiration from your blog think it was Christmas when you did a similar thing. I love the fact you don't just showcase cards and give inspiration to make inexpensive gifts an absolute delight! I think as we all seem aware of cost at the moment it is great! hi christine, wow, thanks for the chance to win, and i just looooove the tag. What a fabulous idea to use the corners as a flower, I think you could even try to use two of these as wings for a butterfly! with some sparkle gems for the body, what do you think? Like a lot of the other ladies, i would use them in scrapbooks too, for corners on the photos, these dies are just great. I have been admiring the gold collection since they where launched on C & C last week, but trying to keep my pennies as i am going to the Harrogate show next month. with a bit of luck they may be available their.

These are really nice dies. Like you have done I think I would make them into flowers. You could use them as photo frames, just stick down the edges and then tuck the corner of the photo under to be held by the corner. Also I think they would look good in various shades of the same colour and layer like a fan or like fish scales.... if you know what I mean. !!! Janice x

Enjoy FDD! Because of FDD and seeing your wonderful tags and gift boxes you make, I finally bought the aster and daisy flower toppers. These corner dies would make a nice addition to the rest of my collection (which is growing slowly) and knowing myself, I would use them as they are intended too... decorative corners for a card, lol! :)

Hi Christine, Your posts always have a happy feel about them - even more so with a give away. The top set you cut look like little aliens, the middle like a moustache peeking over a fan and the bottom set little flowers - just need to add a stem. Maybe I just have odd ideas or maybe I just need some chocolate....

Hi Christine, the new dies look really versatile and I love the way you can mix and match spellbinder dies. I was thinking the corner you used on the flower would look nice 'growing' out of a vine-like stamp, swirling across a scrapbook page.

I really enjoyed your shows on Create and Craft this week and look forward to see you on more shows soon. I am going to start using my dies a lot more and cannot wait to buy some more as I am about 15 short of 1000. You have really inspired me to start using my dies instead of just looking at them. The trouble is I like to keep looking at the paper and card and hate cutting it up.

Hi Christine, I'm fairly new to spellbinders and have just a small collection but, with what I've seen on your website I know for sure that will soon change! I found you after seeing you on Create and Craft and wonder what I've been doing with my life before now. These corner dies are beautiful. I see them as pockets holding mini chocolate eggs attached to a gift card at Easter time or made into flowers for birthday cards etc or as delicate corners to edge photo's or pages for scrapbooking. My thoughts are running away with me. Thanks for the inspiration x
