Back Home!

Hello friends
I'm home, the house is still standing despite the boys being left and
Bella has been squeezed and hugged lots!
In fact my lovely boys went out shopping, bought dinner and cooked it for me...
I'm expecting some bad news and they are softening the blow..maybe!?
I was only away for three nights but it felt longer.
I had a truly brilliant time in Birmingham.
And look..first class travel!  If you travel on a Sunday you have the train to yourself
and it only cost £3.50 extra to upgrade!
It was my first ever visit to Birmingham.
The weather was crisp, cold and bright.
The NEC is huge!  Set out very much like an airport.
Thank goodness for comfy shoes!
I was there to wander and watch others demonstrate including the brilliant Ken Oliver.
I returned the next day to absorb all the creativity from lots of stands...!
I was able to say a quick hello live from Stitches on a Spellbinders Try It Tuesday You Tube video
and spent some time with the lovely Betina from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
(Don't forget to nip over and 'Like' their Facebook page - full of interesting info).
We ate at Jamie's Italian ....
and did a bit of shopping at The Bullring.
Back at the show I made notes of what really caught my eye and returned the next day to
place some orders for the studio/shop. Very excited about those arriving....especially WOW embossing powders, Fantastic Ribbons and The Hobby House -
I have to say The Hobby House stand was beautiful, it ticked all my boxes -
they had combined beautiful white units with their fresh looking products and with a twist of vintage.
I wanted to airlift it all to my shop window!
While I was away I tapped into my blog and read all the comments,
I know some of you have left some questions and I promise to get to those.
Remember you can always email me too with any Spellbinders queries - happy to help.

Please stop by for Friday Die Day tomorrow as it is EXTRA special...
I'm not going to give the secret away but I promise it's good!
Take care friends.

Good morning everyone, thank you, Christine for all your pics. It's a long, long time since I've seen a carriage that empty on a train. Loved all the links, will have to go back and have a good browse at some of them.

Morning Christine, glad you had fun, sounds like you've got your boys well trained!!!! My mum also taught my brothers the same as me so they are very house trained too, my dad then taught me the same as the boys so im good at DIY which comes in helpful with crafting! I hope you gave Bella a big kiss when you got home. Emma

Morning Christine

What lovely boys you have preparing a meal for you Loved all your pics and cant wait to see what you bought

Love the empty train... nothing worse than being squashed in. I flew first class last year and I must admit I wish I could do it all the time but costs a bit more than £3.50 to upgrade lol

Hi Christine

Thanks for sharing your photos, certainly looks as though you had a great few days. Pleased you were able to get some shopping for your shop done too.
The train upgrade price is a bargain and certainly needed to be done for the extra comfort and peace :-))

Really looking forward to FDD, wondering what you have in store!

Good Morning Christine,
It sounds like you had a fantastic time 'working' away from home!haha
You should be very proud of those boys of yours they sound very thoughful and responsible, a real credit to you Christine and as I mentioned the other day the dealt with the online orders brilliantly, I was thrilled to receive my order so fast!
I could do with some inspiration for those tags now, I have seen some amazing tags that you have created and would love to look at them, so if you could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
I am also very much looking forward to FDD, its something I look forward to every week!
Many thanks Christine,
Hugs

Glad to hear you had a great time in Birmingham. I go often as I have friends there and the craft show in November at the nec is always a highlight. Shopping in the city is fantastic although Selfridge's store whose picture you featured is my least favourite building in the city.

Pleased you enjoyed your visit to NEC and were able to purchase items for both shop and studio. What a lovely welcome home you had too from your sons. I will repeat what I have said before that you are very lucky to have such caring and thoughtful boys. Bella too deserves a mention as I'm sure she missed you as much as you missed her! looking forward to Friday die day.
