A Stitch in Time...

Hello friends
Boxes and boxes of items have winged their way to the studio/shop and I have
been rediscovering projects that I had completely forgotten about.
This is one of them - a simple card created with Classic Scallop Edgeabilities.
I used my little basic sewing machine to stitch around the edge of the kraft cardstock,
it adds a lovely finishing touch.  And....
talking of sewing machines here is my fabric one taking on the task of making a curtain.
I have had this sewing machine since I was about 15 - I love it, probably because it takes about
one minute to thread up - so simple!
The sewing experts will see I have not tacked...oh how I like to live dangerously! :)
This is my curtain design helper - my lovely Mum...
(the wall lettering actually says 'do something creative every day' - not just 'do something'!!)
Mitchell helped out yesterday with lots of jobs and at one point was so engrossed in creating a project -
that turned out to be a rather strange animal thing from the curtain pole fixture!
By the time I had nearly completed the window it was dark so I did not manage
to get photos but I promise I will.
Tomorrow of course will be FDD, I downed sewing tools to make sure it was completed.
Take care friends.

Morning Christine

You are lucky to have crafty helpers... and I never tack either just pin across the seam. I love todays card so elegant and simple. Think I might go back to simple to kickstart my mojo... lol I have all these wonderful spellbinders and am spoilt for choice so end up doing very little with them

Can't wait to see the studio window when finished, think it will be lovely. I saw those bird cages in dunelm the other day & wanted one but alas I do not have anywhere to hang one. Very pretty card today also. You have such a fab family Christine, all mucking in to help, I think your son is amazing.

Hi Christine, very late again with blog but at least I've managed to find a few minutes to catch up on PC this eve.
What a lovely 'vintage' style card, I really like it.
Pleased to see things are coming along with the studio decor.I remember the times when my Mum and I had a little floral/gift shop together, we had such fun doing things like you, Dad helped too, mainly with DIY jobs.
Rec'd my Spellbinder giftabilities book today, sooo worth purchasing for the lovely projects - esp. yours!
Crafty best wishes, Carolyn x
