And now flat...!

Hello friends

After my dimensional card yesterday today I've gone a little flat and festive!
This is one of my card samples I made for Hochanda
which was quite different for me but fun to do.

Using Distress Oxides I created a background, splashed with water to create
the dots which could look a little like snowflakes...if you squint maybe!

I then stamped randomly with the wreath stamp using embossing ink,
sprinkled with silver embossing folder and heat set.
Also stamped a sentiment - this is from Merry and Bright Stamp and Die Set.

Using the inset die from Hemstitch Circles I cut around each wreath.
Matted onto silver foil card and then a 5 x 7 card front.

Perfectly flat for posting and fun to make
(as long as you don't tip over the embossing powder - ho hum!)

Items used today with clickable links:

All the Christmas stamp and die sets are in the Summer Sale and
now down to £11.50!

Margie, thank you for your comment yesterday asking what
gold foil card I use, I have a mixture at the moment -
some is from Creative Expressions and also Anita's.
I shop for the colour as I like a true gold as opposed to a brass gold,
hope that makes sense :)

Hope you are all keeping cool in this heatwave and please stop by
tomorrow as it is Giveaway Day!

Take care friends.

What a great way to use those hemstitch circle dies Christine. Thanks for the info on the gold card too - I'm on a trip to a garden centre tomorrow and I'm sure they have a big crafting section so I'll have a look in there.

Hi Christine, I don't usually like 'flat' cards, but I really like what you have created here, the colours are lovely you have used, and I really love the hemstitch circles you have used around the stamping, really effective.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
